Pet care experience
Not only are your furry friends your family; they’re ours too! My spouse and I have a combined 50+ years experience with a wide variety of dog breeds. We not only own pets; we train, show, compete, foster, raise litters, and groom as well. We fell in love with a special, rare dog breed about three years ago and our world really went full speed! We have now founded a UKC club, run a breed specific organization, and are in the process of founding a non-profit as well. When we say “Everything dog; ALWAYS,” we truly live by that.

Heather took great care of both my dogs on really short notice. Even my very anxious pup seemed very happy to spend a long weekend with her!
Heather did a great job with Daniel. She was available short notice and went out of her way to make him comfy.
Great great experience. I left my 2 big labs and a cat with them and felt very comfortable that my pets were in good hands. I got very detailed updates and good pictures, and the boys all seem like they had a great time!
We've taken our pup Charlie to Heather's for daycare a few times and will continue to book her in the future. Charlie has a great time with their crew and comes home happy and exhausted.

We have been blessed to have plenty of spare room which has allowed us to give every dog their own space. Daily records are kept for all fosters and boarding dogs to allow us to monitor for any potential changes owners should be away of. We keep cameras both inside and out so every dog is always monitored; and we always have a fully stocked first aid kit on hand just to be safe. We know you rest easier when your pet is resting easy.

What special things does your pup LOVE? Treats, games, toys? What things should I watch out for? Does your dog have any special body language unique to them? May I bathe your dog? May I trim nails? May I train with your dog? What treats can your dog have? Is your dog kennel trained?
A typical day
Dogs staying with me have the ability to enjoy a wide variety of activities! My personal dogs are ALWAYS happy to have a new friend to play ball or tug with. We keep two small pools and one larger pool for water games. Leash walks are always an option, or my favorite thing to do is take my dogs out to 40acres of property we own south of here and let them burn some energy! For the water dogs, Lake Springfield is always close by. We have plenty of frisbees around as well as all kinds of plushy areas for snuggles. Dogs in my household will always get age appropriate training (with owner’s permission,) and mental stimulation like stuffed bones/Kongs.

Any pet that steps foot into our home becomes as important as not only our personal dogs but each other. Each of our days are tailored around the needs of the pets in our care; from ensuring foster litters are raised with Puppy Culture, every dog gets training, events, or just plenty of snuggles! No day is complete until everyone’s physical, mental, and emotional needs are fulfilled.
