Pet care experience
I began rescuing dogs in 1998. My first baby was Cowboy, a beautiful Border Collie. By 2005, I had the "Fabulous Five" group of dogs. It was so much fun! My most famous rescue was a 110 pound Michael Vick Pitbull - Big Brad Brown! He lived to be 13 and passed away in February 2019. I went two months without a dog in my home. I simply could not stand it! So, we rescued Butterbean. Butterbean is a calm/low-key Border Collie mix. He is the perfect dog! We also now have another dog, June Green. June-June is a 3 year old 65 pound pitbull. He is lively, funny, playful, and extremely smart He loves all dogs from tiny to huge Great Danes. In addition to these furry family members, I have a lovely dog-loving 12 year old daughter. She is my helper! Together, we would love to take care of your baby when you need to be away from home. I furthermore have experience with senior dogs as all mine lived to senior age. Your dog will be part of our family while you are away.

I've known Heather for four years now and she is an avid dog lover! Our dog Jack, is a puppy and we were a little neverous leaving him at first, but Heather was so patient and loving, we really felt comfortable with our baby in her care! Heather treats her dogs like family and she is always so kind and attentive. There isn't anyone I would trust more with our pup than Heather.
Heather is the ONLY person I go to for dog sitting when I need to go out-of-town for work. My dogs are my babies, and I trust no one but her! My dogs, Daisy and Cowboy, simply love staying with her, her daughter, and their dog, Butterbean. I know I never have to worry when Heather is taking care of my babies because she treats them and cares for them like they are her own. My dogs also love playing with Butterbean. He is an easy going dog who loves everyone he meets. Heather's home is welcoming, clean, and safe. Heather has a great deal of experience with dogs as she has rescued seven dogs of the past 20 years. She is patient, kind and meets the needs of my dogs. She does this by taking the time to learn about the specific needs of my dogs and then follows through with my requests. She is the best of the best!

I am a school teacher and am off during the summer. So if you need care in the summer, I will be home all day. I am also home during holidays and weekends. During the school year, when I am working, I will treat your baby as I do my own. I come home promptly after work - at 2:30 pm Therefore, your baby would be right there with us through our daily evening routines. My only suggestion would be that I be able to crate your dog when I am not home. Although your baby will undoubtedly miss you while you are gone, we will treat him/her as our own. When does your dog prefer to eat? Does your dog like to swim? During the summer my pool is dog friendly - supervised play of course.
A typical day
I am very flexible with your dog's needs. We take ours on daily evening walks. We get down on the floor and play with our dogs. We also love to cuddle doggies. Ours sleep in the bed with us. We can adjust to the needs of your dog though. I also have an 8 foot vinyl fence around my yard which is double gated and pad locked. Your pet will be very safe in my home and yard.
