Hi, I’m Heather! :)I’ve been a sitter on the Rover platform for several years now and I absolutely LOVE all the fur babies (and their humans) that I’ve gotten to know and care for during this time!:) A little about me: I’m a HUGE animal lover. I have 5 dogs at the moment (one is a foster-I have acquired all my pets except one through the local rescue I foster for so I went from one dog for ten years to many pets really quickly!) lol I am Red Cross Dog & Cat First Aid certified; have worked with animals both personally and professionally for years. I have worked as a pet care provider on other platforms( pre rover ), dog boarding and day care facility for years as well where I was responsible for caring for/feeding and making sure LARGE groups of dogs (at one time) were safe and having fun and am very comfortable with all breeds shapes and sizes especially because of that work experience. That really launched me into knowing I really had a passion for what I do. I have known I wanted to work with animals my entire life..was always bringing home strays as a kid and driving my family nuts . Well I still bring home animals in need a lot so probably could say as a kid and adult I guess 😂 I am constantly looking to learn more about animals and care for my own personal pets and just to gain more knowledge to pursue my dream of having a business in the future. I’m furthering my education all the time on animal related topics and plan to get a degree to continue on my dog / animal loving life journey in the near future! I am truly passionate about them and to be honest I really do like animals more than most people.. lol (especially dogs!) 🐶😂🐾💜 Dogs MUST be non-aggressive, up to date on all shots and their monthly flea/tick preventative (documentation needed for safety of all which you can email me or message me to discuss prior to stay); I do work from home currently so there is very little / basically no time that your pet will be alone. I do prefer they be spayed/neutered, have a great temperament with other dogs and potty trained as well, however I have again made exceptions in certain situations…( ex: puppies or there is some other special circumstance -medical condition, senior, something else owner explains prior) every situation and dog is different so will make exceptions in some cases if there is an issue so not To beat a dead horse but if you do have ANY questions regarding this, in general, about your pet, pricing, or services that may or may not be on my profile, PLEASE message and ask! I have some things set as away but I do still do drop in visits and daycare it’s just depending on the situation/dates and times so again messaging me is the best way:) I am always happy to work with people and answer your questions! I am a very overprotective pet parent myself and extremely picky about leaving my dogs with anyone other than family besides a very select few people so I do understand wanting to have that assurance and knowing your furry family member will be safe, happy and in good hands. I also send a TON of photos and try to make their stay as special as I can so that you can rest assured they will have a great time and their own little vacay while you are away from home on yours :) I also have cared for senior dogs, MANYYY many rescue pups with various issues, have experience with administering oral and injectable medication, caring for animals with special needs and I have also worked as a groomer and have the equipment here for bathing if requested which is discussed through messaging via service needed and pricing as well. I aim to make you and your pet as comfortable as I possibly can. The only thing I am absolutely not ok with is any kind of human aggression due to my grandmother in the home and myself of course along with my pets and I won’t make any exceptions with that at all. Other than that I think that sums it all up! If I am not a good match for you or it doesn’t work for some reason , I will always try to help you find another sitter or refer you to facilities that I personally know and trust. However for dog boarding services I am home with them and my personal dogs pretty much 24/7 lol whatever your pet enjoys and wants to do is pretty much what we do ! I’ve done everything from birthday parties, Halloween parties etc to swimming , playing fetch of course and walks are part of everyday but again any questions just ask:)
