What do you get when you blend an extreme dog lover with a talented baker? Me! Not only am I a doting fur mom to our two adorable pups, I have years of professional experience as a vet technician. On top of that, I recently graduated with an AS degree in Baking and Pastry in Culinary Arts. I have a lot of ideas of merging my passions and am currently developing a business plan to make my dream come true. I’ve worked in an emergency clinic as well as two regular day clinics. I’ve cared for critically ill animals as well as performing day-to-day duties like feeding, walking, cleaning kennels as well as washing, grooming, and cutting nails. I’ve dogsat multiple times for family and friends in the past, and hope to take care of even more animals. My fiance Richard has worked on a ranch with Pointers for hunting game birds and helped breed with American Staffordshire Terriers. We are both animal lovers and grew up in families with dogs as family members, so we’re just excited to broaden our furry family quotient, even for short bursts of time. Being surrounded by animals from a young age taught me the importance of responsibility, respect, and compassion for all living creatures, including our environment. Having dogs in my life helps me commune with our natural surroundings, and I’m just so grateful for their company. I bring a passionate, trustworthy quality to everything I do––people often say that I am very kind––and I always make sure the pet is loved like you do! When I am not dogsitting, I’m usually giving my own two pups much love and attention: playing frisbee, hiking or learning new tricks. Our older pup Padfoot is very good with other dogs and shows them good habits. Our puppy Toothless is still learning but listens very well and loves to play with humans and canines alike. We want them to become service dogs one day and take them everywhere with us! Not to sound overly simplistic, but I just love being a wife mother and dog mom. Nothing makes me happier than spending quality time with those I love, and your pup will become an immediate member of my small but tight family. I adore spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, and swimming, but when I’m home, I enjoy making organic dog treats and gluten free pastries. Cooking is really another important passion of mine. Richard loves playing music with his friends who are all huge dog lovers while Padfoot and Toothless snooze in their dog beds or play outside. I’m still learning the guitar, but our house is usually filled with laughter, a few barks, and music. I have full availability with a very flexible schedule. I’m usually up between 5 and 7am to let the pups stretch and relieve themselves. After breakfast, we’ll go for a hearty, meandering walk, hike or run. I work from home so my priority and attention will always be on your pup’s comfort, safety, and happiness.
