IF you are like me, then your dogs are your children. I remember the first time I took my dogs to stay at a puppy resort overnight and not in the care of a family member. I cried the whole way back to work bc I was worried that they would miss me, miss home or generally feel abandoned. Due to a recent change in my home life and living situation, I will be sharing every other week custody with my fur babies and this leaves a huge whole in my heart. So why not fill that whole with other loving dogs that need sitting while their parents are away. I have a 40 lb 5 1/2 year old black lab mix and a 100 lb 5 year old white German Shepherd. I've had them both since they were puppies so I am familiar with the puppy routine and also took them to obedience school, so I am comfortable giving commands. In addition to my own dogs, I have watched small yorkies, large boxers and medium size beagles. And am comfortable around dogs of all sizes.

I am open to all breeds at this point, but I would like to know: What is the dog's mannerisms/temperament? what is the dog's regular routine? Do they have any special needs/allergies/medical issues? Do they have any special likes/toys? What are their eating habits? Eating times? Have they been to obedience training? Did they pass? What commands do they know? What are they sleeping habits/arrangements? How well do they do on car rides?
A typical day
I am a full time professional working in the Willoughby area but will be available for after work and overnight care of your loved ones. I enjoy taking dogs for walks (as long as they behave well on leashes), going to the dog parks (if they play well with others) or going for swims in the river or pond (if they enjoy water). And or course playing catch in the backyard or chilling and cuddling on the couch if that is more your dogs speed. Those are just some of the activities that we would do in the evening after I get off work (which is at 4:00 pm). If you're home is close enough to my work, I will be able to stop and let them out during the day on my lunch but if not, they must be able to go at least 9 hours in between bathroom breaks.
