Pet care experience
I was a dog mom to a beautiful American Eskimo for nearly 14 years. When Gandalf passed away in the summer of 2018, I became a pet sitter. It helped ease my pain by taking care of other owner’s animals, and I became a welcome part of a community of pet owners happy to have someone reliable to care for their furbabies, especially because many were rescues. I also foster dogs through Nashville Humane. To date, I’ve cared for nearly 80 dogs.

Kimba had a great time with Heather. She took great care of Kimba and sent pictures throughout the day. Heather is very responsive and makes me feel at ease. Kimba has a lot of separation anxiety and it was clear from the photos and when we picked her up that she’d had a great day. I know Kimba was in good hands with Heather. I’d use her again next time we are in town.

I ensure a cozy, safe home for your furbabies. I provide a dog bed, which is washed between sits. With owner’s approval, I often give a bully stick or doggy ice cream during a dog’s stay. I allow the furbabies to sleep in bed with me, but only if approved by the dog moms and dads.

A typical day
I love dog walks! I love taking dogs on walks to/through a local park, catering the walks to the dog’s age and energy level. Playtime is fun time! Bring your pet’s favorite toys. And if the pet is more low-key, I’m happy to take it easy and give lots of belly rubs and cuddles on the couch.

I am a copywriter who works from home. Because I have flexibility with my schedule, I’m able to fit in regular walks, playtime and snuggles. Your pets will have ample company in my care.
