30 years of Animal Care

Pet care experience

Having grown up on a farm I started life early with all animals, care, feeding, training and health care for Dogs, Cats, Horses, etc. I have worked as a wild life rehabber with extensive specialized training in caring for injured and rehabbing wildlife. ( Squirrels and fox are my favorite!) I have personally been a dog mom from puppyhood on to dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Newfoundlands to Poodle mixes to currently a Chihuahua and a Pappion. Many of these were rescues and had special training and care needs. I have housebroken and trained many adorable puppies. My dogs and other pets and animals in my care are part of my family. I will care for your pets and home the same way. A home owner for 25 years, I will care for your home as my own, keeping it clean, maintained and secure.

Look no further! THIS is the human you want taking care of your precious fur babies. I almost don’t want to write this review because I want to keep Heather a secret so we can have her all to ourselves, but alas, I would be doing pet owners a great disservice so here it goes. I never thought I would leave my dog with a stranger but when Bentley (our mini- Dachshund) started to have back pain prior to our planned vacation, I knew we needed to make special arrangements. I didn’t want to over burden our friend who normally takes care of him due to special needs necessary in light of this new condition with his back. Bentley requires meds twice per day and is not allowed to run, jump, or go up/down stairs. He basically needs to be carried most of the time while his back is healing. I emailed Heather after getting a “warm and fuzzy” feeling from reading her reviews and she responded promptly. From there we exchanged some info and coordinated a day and time so we could all meet at her home where she would host Bentley. Wanted to make sure it was going to be a good fit and we were not disappointed. Heather is quite the gem; That fact was apparent to my husband and I upon meeting her. Bentley was immediately comfortable with Heather and her two sweet doggies, Mushka and Rhudy. I consider myself to be an impeccable judge of character and within moments of meeting Heather we knew she was the one to entrust with our baby while we vacationed out of the country for 10 days. I also had the opportunity to meet Heather’s husband Bryan when I dropped Bentley off and he too is a very nice animal loving person! To top it off, she has a beautiful home equipped with dogie gates and a very nice enclosed courtyard with a designated turf area for the dogs to do their business. Just wonderful. Heather kept Bentley safe and happy throughout the duration of his stay and was able to follow the long list of dos and don’ts I gave her. Bentley was truly treated as a member of Heather’s family. We received updates, via text message and photos daily. Bentley looked like he was living the life, from snuggles in bed watching tv with Heather and her Husband, to lounging around the house, we knew he was being well taken care of. Having that peace of mind allowed us to truly enjoy our time away which we so desperately needed. We are forever grateful to have found Heather and consider her our friend. If it wasn’t already obvious, we will absolutely hire Heather to watch our baby again. Thank you, Heather and Bryan!

I can confidently attest to Heather as a responsible and loving dog caregiver, due to the fact that she is the very person who taught me what it means to own and love a dog. Heather is my mom, and she is the reason that I grew up knowing the love of dogs my whole life. Heather always puts the needs of animals first, I have seen her nurse back countless sick animals to health including dogs and otherwise. She has always had a very special bond with animals, and I've never met a dog or any animal that didn't instantly love her. Heather is very gifted at working with animals and an exceptionally loving and responsible dog caregiver. I would consider any dog in her care to be in good hands and extremely lucky.

I have known Heather for a very long time and this is a woman with a lifetime of love toward our furry friends. She has always been a dog owner for as long as I can remember. She has a history of taking and providing home and health for wildlife as well and mainly I remember her years of raising an orphan squirrel from a nearly dead little baby fallen out of a nest to an animal that was able to be reintroduced to his wild environment. She has studied and been certified to care for wildlife such as that squirrel. Her incredible heart toward all animals and especially dogs has made my ownership of my dogs more enlightened. She has helped me find the right dog to adopt and she understands the needs of those animals. Add to that that this woman loves walking...what could be a better fit? I would and have asked Heather to care for my pets for extended periods. You will not be disappointed and neither will your dog.

Heather is amazing with animals. My chihuahua is very particular and Heather has a very special way of gaining his trust. My cat and Papillon are also very drawn to her and all of them are extremely excited when she comes through the door to watch or walk them. She has an impressive background in wildlife rescue, which allows me to relax knowing that my pets have the absolute best care. I would recommend her to everyone!
