We treat them like family!

Pet care experience

I'm Heather, a stay-at-home mom based in Louisville. My husband Jack and I have two wonderful sons, Max (11) and Jack Jr. (13), and Lucy, our big sweet Bernese Mountain dog who sadly passed away. My lifelong love for dogs has always been a source of joy in our family. Growing up, dogs were cherished members of our household, and that tradition continues to thrive today. We always knew we would welcome another furry friend into our family when the time was right. Thanks to Rover, we've had the wonderful opportunity to open our hearts and home to many new four-legged family members, bringing boundless joy and companionship. I want to assure you that when you entrust your furry family members to my care, they become cherished and beloved additions to our family. Caring for dogs isn't just a job for me; it's a passion and a true family affair. We all actively engage in looking after, playing with, and showering your pets with love and care. Our top priorities are safety, happiness, and keeping your pets active and content. You can rely on me to alleviate any worries you may have about your beloved family members because I am responsible, trustworthy, and profoundly compassionate. Building a strong and positive relationship with you and your pet is paramount to me. I firmly believe that open communication and a genuine understanding of your pet's needs are essential in providing the best care possible. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to meet your furry friend and become an integral part of their life's journey. Together, we can ensure your pet's well-being and happiness while you're away, creating lasting memories and cherished moments.

Heather and her family were amazing hosts for our dog. He had so much fun I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home!

Heather and her family are truly wonderful! This was our first time using Rover and Heather went above and beyond to look after our 2 pups. They went on walks, to the dog park, had plenty of play time and snuggles, and came back home looking so happy! We especially loved all the photo updates - amazing communication. Heather truly does look after your pups like they’re family!

Our commitment is to provide your beloved pet a personalized and reassuring experience. Expect regular updates and photos to stay connected and informed about their well-being. I have extensive experience administering medications and addressing the diverse needs of multiple dogs, including different diets, schedules, and medications. I will take them jogging or on walks multiple times a day, always one in the morning and evening. If the weather is not too hot and they are up for it, we can take another one in the afternoon or play fetch in the backyard. Our large fenced backyard backs to open spaces and trails, providing a secure and stimulating environment for your pets. We leave our patio door open so they can freely walk in and out when it's good for them. We offer potty breaks consistently throughout the day and change their water often. They are welcome anywhere in our house, from cozy corners to their favorite spots; we accommodate their needs. We love cuddling and giving them lots of love, ensuring they feel cherished and at home. I eagerly look forward to meeting your furry family members and creating wonderful experiences together!

Consistency Matters: We prioritize maintaining their accustomed lifestyle in your home. This approach ensures their comfort and security in a new environment, fostering trust between them and us. Please Share: To tailor our care effectively, kindly inform us of your pet's personality traits, separation anxiety, interactions with children or other dogs, leash preferences, allergies, treat schedules, commands, and house rules. We strictly refrain from feeding human food for safety reasons and respect your guidelines about pets on beds or furniture. We have no problem letting them crawl in bed with us; our boys hope for it. We aim to make your pet feel at ease and cherished during their stay with us. Thank you for entrusting us with your furry family member.

Some of our favorite dog parks are the Davidson Mesa Dog Park, Community Dog Park, and The Great Bark Dog Park. We enjoy going on family walks with them, after dinner if time permits, downtown, and/or hiking on the weekends.

We provide pet care seven days a week with our unique family support: I'm home full-time, dedicated to pet care. My husband works from home and actively participates. We take turns driving our kids to football practice and running errands, ensuring someone is almost always here. The only exception is a few hours on Saturdays during our boys' football games.
