Pet care experience
I have experience with a number of breeds including Pitbull, Rottweiler, St. Bernard, Bulldog, German Shepherd, Border Collie, Doberman, GSP, Lab, Great Pyrenees, Golden Retriever, Jack Russel, Aussie, Poodle, Springer Spaniel, Brittany Spaniel, Pomeranian, Cocker Spaniel, Wired Hair Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Rat Terrier, and Blue Heeler, just to name a few. I enjoy helping folks care for their pets. I have experience with dog medications, ear drops, etc. I’ve struggled to find a dog sitter for my own dogs in the past. I discovered Rover.com when I needed a dog sitter in Minneapolis while attending an event and had a great experience. I absolutely love being around dogs and am excited to have the opportunity to assist fellow dog lovers in caring for their pets. I only do walks for dogs who are easy walkers, not dog aggressive, or squirrel, etc. chasers. Drop in visits are only available for dogs without Houdini escape skills. Preferably a fenced in yard. Drop in's consist of potty time, checking food/water, administering meds, play time, scritches, and snuggles. I also restrict my clients to medium/large/XL size dogs.

This was my first Rover experience- after reading so many positive local reviews, I decided to book with Heather and I'm so glad I did! I have a 55 lb. mixed breed dog and two cats. After our meet & greet, booking was a breeze! I can't believe I haven't done this sooner. Heather genuinely cares about your pets and wants what is best for them. I even had a last-minute change of plans and she was very accommodating and understanding. I appreciate the open communication- Heather is easy to reach and quick to get back to you. Before, I had major anxiety about traveling and being away from my animals. I no longer need to board my dog elsewhere, which is a huge plus, and I can relax knowing they are all in great hands in their own home. Thank you Heather!
Heather is fantastic! I know Buster is always in good hands when she is watching him.
Heather is wonderful with our dogs. She plays with them and also brushes and walks them as well. She is experienced with dogs, especially our big baby Saint Bernard.
Heather takes our dogs out daily for activities and walks. They love the attention, we love the pictures, and Heather takes great care of our pets!

I like to know what energy level each dog is and how they prefer to be interacted with. What games/toys they like to play. What commands they know. How they are on leash and if they know how to slip out of their collar if they see a rabbit or squirrel (speaking from experience here...everything ended well and I used their harness for future walks to avoid it from happening again...smart little bugger). If they like to swim. If they’re car chasers. Dog friendly. Have a squirrel fetish. Have allergies. So many questions...
A typical day
I like taking advantage of local paved paths for walks. Will play fetch or other games they enjoy. Of course, snuggle time is a must if they are so inclined.

I telecommute for my full-time job and am able to do drop ins, potty breaks and walks for my dog clients during my lunch, before/after work, and occasionally on weekends.
