Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals most of my life, and have had anything from dogs and cats, to chickens and ducks, snakes, goats, llamas, etc. I have successfully trained dogs in basic behavioral skills and administered medication of various forms to all my animals. I also have confidence with even the largest of breeds, having owned a cane corso, among others. I have experience leash training as well as acclimating dogs with new animals and curbing unwanted behavior.

Heather is an amazing cat sitter. I have booked her a few times now and she is always so responsible and kind. She took great care of my two cats. She communicates very quickly and with consideration and kindness. The roads were slippery and icy over Christmas and it was tough for her to drive on the curvy roads to where I live but she always made it to feed my cats twice a day. One time she even had a friend with snow tires drive her to my house. I really appreciate the extra effort that she made.
Once again, Heather was a wonderful caregiver for our cats. She is very kind and friendly and responds immediately anytime that I contact her. Our house was very clean when we returned and our cats were happy and healthy. Thank you, Heather.

I prefer to allow animals freedom to roam around if possible, but understand animals have different needs. All walks are leashed, no exceptions unless you have a fully fenced and secure yard you prefer your pet to run around.

No breed preferences and not intimidated by large dogs. If the animal has any behavioral, medical, or physical issues, I should know about those. If there are behaviors that you are trying to curb, I can participate in continuing with that. Any questions you may have, I'm glad to answer :) I've got a plethora of animals and everyone is happy and healthy!
A typical day
I like to keep pets entertained and mentally stimulated. Walks, fetch, tug of war, whatever games your pet seems to engage with are all explored. If possible, trips to the dog park are a fun outing for some fresh air.

I work full- time, but can work with you, especially if I can plan ahead by a week or more. I do occasionally leave town, but again, can generally adjust my schedule accordingly.
