Pet care experience
I have had pets my whole life and started primarily caring for my own pets when I was a teenager (around 2010). I currently have a 9yo Boston Terrier named Sam Jackson, and I help my dad with his pack (2 labs and a spitz mix all around 10yo). I have dabbled in pet sitting as a way to help others, as well as selfishly to get some pet time in while I was unable to support a pet myself. I have cared for dogs ranging from Pugs, and Jack russles, to Huskies, and something that I believe was half coyote (if I had to guess…). I have cared for a Chihuaua pushing 20yo and a lively German Shepherd puppy. I have cared for cats and dogs that have been rescued and aren't yet comfortable with people or their surroundings, and ones that absolutely own the place. Each pet has it's own unique personality, and I cant wait to get to know yours! ^-^

Heather has been caring for my 8 pets when I travel. One cat needs oral medication and one super-senior dog is deaf. She understands their very diverse personalities. She keeps all of them happy and safe.

I can’t keep client’s dogs in my home, due to the fact that I have 4 senior dogs, and while they are friendly, they aren’t always the easiest. Caring for pets in their own homes or on walks, I am very attentive and make sure I have or know where to find proper toys, leashes/harnesses, and the like to make sure they have a good time.

I like to know if you have specific commands you use with your dog, if there are any behavior tendencies I should look out for (and possibly correct or avoid), and if there are any special needs/injuries/ailments and what those entail for your pup.
A typical day
I’m somewhat new to the area, so I’ve only done walks about the neighborhood and around the canal path downtown. I love having active fun with dogs, playing fetch, tug of war, or just running around with them!

I have a fairly flexible schedule, and am mostly available in the afternoons and evenings, with flexible availability on weekends. Im an artist and make my own schedule, which makes for odd hours, but feel free to reach out and we can work something out!
