Relaxing home for best care

Pet care experience

Hello all, I've owned cats, dogs, and horses for over 20 years now and was their main caregiver starting at 8 y.o. I've worked at many horse barns and pet sitter for many many friends over the years. I have skills in pet healthcare (administering medication, baths, cutting nails, etc), young animals, dog & horse training, rescue animals, and elderly animals. I do my best to provide stress free care for your pets.

Heather has watched my dog, Jupiter, at her house and has come to my home to watch over my 3 cats. She did an amazing job! She was very professional and courteous when coming into our home and visited the cats every time she said she would (we had previous sitters say they would come and then forget :( but we can see when our garage is opened) and sent pictures every time she was over. She went above and beyond cleaning up what are cats got anxious and destructive when we were gone and spent time with them to calm them down. Jupiter has stayed at Heather's house a few times and he absolutely LOVES aunt Heather's house! He can be nervous and gets anxious in new environments but Heather was amazing with him. Jupiter had a new problem pooping in the house and we brought a crate over and she helped start crate training and Jupiter never had an accident while at her house. I felt bad bringing a new crate over without Jupiter having experience with it but I didn't want any accidents and Heather worked it out amazingly well! If you need a considerate and professional dog/cat sitter Heather is definitely the person to come to! She has experience with a variety of animals and that really shows in any strange/emergency pet situations that have come up while she's watched out animals. 10/10!

Heather has had a life long partnership with various animals. She has worked with training dogs and understands how to handle many different personalities. I have entrusted my kitty into her care while I was traveling and came home to a very happy, healthy and stress free kitty. She was very good at keeping me up to date with pictures and information about my kitty every day. I wouldn't hesitate to call upon her again to watch my dear kitty.

Information Heather G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know the following: 1. Any special dietary or medical needs 2. Is your pup crate trained and may I crate them when I am not at home? I can leave them out of course, but it's often safer to crate a dog in unfamiliar surroundings when unsupervised. 3. Is your dog friendly with other dogs? 4. Is your dog friendly with cats? 5. Is your dog leash trained? Do they need special gear? 5. Does your dog show any food aggression? With this information I can provide the best care for your pup!

A typical day

When I watch dogs in my home, I match the dog's energy. If they want to be a couch potato and cuddle with me, that's what we do! If the dog is a ball of energy, I'll go for a long walk at the Oak Ridge Library before work, play ball every time we go outside, and potentially go to the dog park (if approved by the owner). I have a morning and nighttime routine for going out, bedtime, and feedings so the dog will have comfort in consistency.
