I was raised around animals (my father owned a veterinary clinic) and I love being surrounded by them. I love the company of animals and I treat them like family. No dog is too big or too small for me! When I’m not pet sitting, I am most likely grooming my Pekingese for their next AKC conformation show. We attend local and semi-local shows on most weekends. I will take the time to understand each dog personally. No two pups are the same and each deserves its own individual attention and tailored plan. If needed, my husband helps me care for the dogs. He’s always had dogs in his life just like me! Your pup will also have the company of Pekingese and an Australian Shepherd. No cats here! I have had a lot of experience caring for animals. When I was in high school, I worked at my father's veterinary clinic and I have since worked at other veterinary clinics, including general practice and specialty animal hospitals. I currently work at an emergency and specialty veterinary clinic. My medical training should put your mind at ease in case there is an emergency. I also have experience with special needs dogs -- I have done a lot of behavior modification work and I have a deaf dog at home that I’ve worked with extensively, so I love working with special needs dogs. Throughout my life and my work, I have had exposure to many different breeds. We live in a tri-level home with a newly landscaped backyard (grass!). The view is stunning as we are on a hill where there is little road traffic, which provides a lot of safety. Our home is peaceful and homey and your pup will also have other furry friends to play with during their stay! Above all, I consider myself to be honest, reliable and attentive -- I work hard to make sure every animal in my care gets the care they need and deserve.
