As a lifelong pet owner, and especially dog lover, I am looking forward to spoiling your pets while you enjoy a hard-earned vacation, travel for business, or need to get away for any other reason! I work from home, so your baby will get non-stop attention and you won't need to worry about long breaks between walks or meals. I have several years of professional dog training experience and can also support with training basic behaviors (potty training, sit, stay, etc.) and tricks, too. While I'd love a pet of my own, I may move abroad in the medium term and don't want to put my furry family member through that kind of stress. I'm mildly allergic to cats, so I cannot host them, but am happy to care for them in your home!

Heather provided four days of doggy day care for our young dog. It was the first time our dog was ever away from us and Heather was wonderful! She is professional, experienced and clearly loves dogs. Communication and feedback was excellent. Our dog was excited to spend time with Heather and came home each day really happy! We’ll gladly book future dog care services with Heather.
Heather is a really experienced dogsitter and I felt very confident leaving my fur baby in her care. We got regular updates and my dog was super relaxed and happy when I fetched him again. Highly recommend.

I have a fenced-in garden, which provides a safe place for your dog to play ball and run around. I ensure that nothing dangerous (chocolate, small things, etc.) is lying around within the dogs' reach.

Please let me know if your pet has ANY special needs, e.g. a fixed schedule, allergies, medications. If your pet has a routine, it's important that I understand it so that your pet will be as comfortable as possible while you are away! Please also let me know how your dog is, generally, with other dogs - your dog will be alone in my home, but it's important for me to know what to expect if we meet new friends while on a walk! Also important to know is if your dog is able to stay home alone. Please be honest about this! While I would never leave your pet home alone all day, I may sometimes need to buy groceries, go to the doctor, etc.
A typical day
I'm very active and go for long walks every day, so I'm looking forward to bringing your dog along with me! We will be sure to get in our steps every day and also have plenty of playtime, either in the fenced-in garden or inside (if the weather is bad). Your dog will definitely not be bored!

I work from home, roughly 9am-6pm, which makes it easy to follow your pet's normal routine, and dogs can go out every 4 hours. I also do not live alone, so backup care is always available if truly needed!
