Experienced Pet Owner Loves Dogs
Pet care experience
I am an experienced pet owner who loves dogs. Tea cup to giant I love them all. Not only that, but I have experience handling dogs of all sizes. In a past career I was a veterinary assistant and a grooming assistant. Experienced owner of critters big and small. Our current brood includes a 2 dogs, fish, a horse and 14 chickens. I have cared for newts, hermit crabs, fish, birds, cats, dogs, horses, goats, guinea pigs, gerbils, rats, mice, hedgehogs, chinchillas, lizards, rabbits, chickens, and snakes. I understand that your pets are family and care for them as such. While you are gone you can rest assured that your pets will receive the care and attention they deserve. I am willing to care for your other pets for an additional fee should you require this service. There are not many animals that I am uncomfortable with.
Reviews
Heather was wonderful with caring for our dog (Luna) during our week away. She made sure Luna had long walks, was fed on schedule, and had lots of play and cuddle time. During a storm she even stayed an extra long time to help keep Luna calm and make sure she got out after the storm passed. Heather kept us updated daily with pictures and details after each visit. Most importantly, it was clear Heather has a true love of animals. I would recommend Heather, and we will absolutely hire her again.
Excellent help over the holidays. Great communication. Thank you!
Heather is a most professional dog sitter and we highly recommend her! She cared for our 12 week old Golden and our 4 year old male Golden. She showed more canine knowledge and interest of any of the many sitters we have had, from Rover and elsewhere. Heather sent pictures and text messages throughout the day and kept us up to date on how the pups were doing. She is one of the few we would entrust our dogs and our home to for an overnight stay. Best of all our pups adored her! Thank you Heather for taking such good care of Asher and Cannoli!
Heather was such a pleasure- quick response times to our inquiry and then sent us such great updates throughout our trip. We knew that our pets were happy and taken care of while we were gone!

Safety, trust & environment
Your pets’ safety and security is my top priority. I make a habit of checking gate latches prior to releasing your pet into their fenced yard. Likewise, if we are going for a walk or potty break in an unfenced area I always ensure that harnesses and collars are properly fitted and secured prior to exiting your home.
Information Heather D. would like to know about your pet
I always like to know what their level of socialization is as well as if they have separation anxiety. It is also important to know if they have any aggression triggers or allergies. I like to know what their favorite toys are and what your treat policy is. House rules are important to maintain. Any activities and locations that are off limits are helpful as well. I will also need to know what kind of medications (if any) are required on a daily basis as well as their dosing schedule.
A typical day
On a typical day we will play, have some snuggle and scratches time as well as a walk or two (per your discretion). We will typically walk around your neighborhood, or a local park.
