Pet care experience
I started caring for pets when I was pretty young. Now it's fun to do it as a part time job while my main position is working as a para educator. I am hoping to start doing some ad-hoc jobs for customers too, possibly creative projects or organizing. My background is in Linguistics, Humanities, and TEFL so I'm happy to talk about languages and traveling. Right now, my focus is on studying ASL to use/teach in the school setting.

When taking dogs on walks, I will always be conscious of the length of leash they have and what environment we are walking in. It is also important to be mindful of other people and pets passing by. When taking care of a pet in their home, I pay close attention to gates and doors being closed/locked behind us and any safety hazards. This is something I am very used to keeping a close eye on with my guinea pig because he is fast and sneaky.

It's important for me to know the dogs medical conditions so I can be extra aware if something goes wrong. It's good to know what their normal is in order to pick up on if they need medical attention or help from their owner. I hope to get to know your dog and be a regular sitter so I can provide the best care. I also hope to know yours pets routines, I am not fond of kennels and may feel uncomfortable caring for pets who spend much of their day in a small space.
A typical day
I love to let pets experience as much as they can to get exercise for their body and their brain. It's nice to go on nature walks and let them explore. I like the dog beach so I'd be happy to take your dog there as well if you live nearby. I travel by transit so I will be taking muni or bus. I am completely comfortable taking a dog on the bus if the owner agrees. Because it's fun to travel a little.

Availability
During the week, I'm available from 5:00am-7:00am, and then after 3:00pm. On weekends and school holidays I am happy be more flexible in times and additional visits. I do ask to be compensated for meet and greets.
