Pet care experience
I am 47 years old. I worked as a vet tech for 20 years. I currently work from home and have a degree in Criminal Justice. I have a husband, 24 year old daughter, several cats, 1 bunny, fish, a lizard, and an indoor duck. Have also owned snakes, hamsters, and Guinea pigs in the past. I foster kittens through Tenth Life Cat Rescue, specializing in the bottle babies. I can take care of all kinds of pets and any type of special needs they may have. I can give injections, both Sub-Q and in the muscle. I can give oral meds, no matter what form (liquid, pill, powder). I don’t charge extra for medication administration or specialized care. Your fur babies will be very spoiled by me, all while maintaining your house rules!

All worked out as agreed. The pictures Heather sent assured us that our cat was receiving lots of attention while we were away for a long weekend. Would definitely recommend.
Heather kept our dog safe and sound while we were out of town! She was flexible about a change to feeding that our vet required shortly before her stay and made adjustments as necessary to make sure our dog was eating enough. She also administered medication with no issues. Heather was always responsive to my messages and kept me up to date about how our pup was doing. She was respectful of our home and left things neat and clean. I would hire her again!

I like to meet the dog first and get to know about their personality. Being a vet tech, I am able to work with many different personalities and can read body language to know when they are not comfortable or are upset.
A typical day
I like to walk and hike, so if you wish, I’d be more than happy to take your dogs with me. I play fetch, tug of war, or whatever their favorite game is. I’m also more than happy to snuggle while watching TV, and let them sleep with me, as long as you allow.
