Heather did a great job watching our dog! She sent lots of updates and photos. It was so comforting to know she was in good hands for her first overnight stay with a sitter!
Listen. Special people come into your life at just the right time. Heather is no exception. She took impeccable care of Millie, sent photos every day, was thoughtful beyond the role of dog sitter and was just over the top kid to a couple strangers she had never met. If you’re looking for somebody to care for your dog, Heather is the very first person I would recommend.
Heather took such good care of our golden retriever pup both for overnights and daily doggy daycare! She sent us a lot of pictures of him playing with her dog and let us know how he was doing all throughout his stay! She followed all our training we’re working on with him and she was great to communicate with. Heather loves the dogs that stay with her like they’re her own, highly recommend!
Heather was Amazing! Beasley was absolutely pooped after a short weekend with her. I’m looking forward to have her as Beasley’s sitter on my next trip out of town. She was a great communicator and I got plenty of pictures!

My dog does well with dogs his size (he is medium size) or smaller. However the bigger ones that aren't friendly or laid back will get complicated and we have had to keep some separate which is not my preference. For example, generally, he does great with Golden Retrievers but with Labs it all depends on their personality. Medium to small dogs are usually just fine. I will watch large breed dogs but we must meet first (with a few exceptions) because if they won't get along I dont want to put the pups and myself in that situation, it's just not fair to either of them. I have a fenced in medium size yard, go for walks daily, two floors in my house, both are wood with a couple area rugs. I like to walk for about an hour, but can change this if needed. If your dog is large and pulls on a lead too much, we may forfit the walks for some fun and extra play time in the back yard.

Information Heather C. would like to know about your pet
I can work with friendly dogs of any kind. I don't like to goto dog parks but take 3 to 5 mile walks daily. (Cut short depending on the weather and how we feel) We can also change our routine based on the needs of our furry guests. It's great to know what the eating schedule is, if you have any specific rules, if they like walks and for how long. If they are staying longer than a few hours, it's nice to have some of their toys as well.
A typical day
I like to be active so will make sure any furry friends get lots of play time. My day starts with outside time, breakfast and some play. I normally let my pup outside a few times during the day and sometimes will play with him if the weather isn’t terrible or we don’t have Q busy schedule. I take daily walks (or jogs) around the neighborhood and to various parks around town. Evening time is dinner, play time and snuggling. I allow dogs on my furniture, don't crate my dog if I leave, and try to bring him along whenever possible.

I generally work from home and am fortunate to have my college age son living with me while he works towards his degree. We both care for a 2 year old Shetland Shepard and a semi free roaming rabbit so visiting dogs/cats would make our home more fun during regular activities. During the 2023/2024 school year we are hosting a high school exchange student who adores animals so fits right in with our family.
