Helper for the furry family members
Pet care experience
My name is Heather and with 4 years of experience through Rover, I am here to provide services for you and your furry family member. As an international student (for 5 years at that and with more to come), I know exactly how hard it is to leave behind your pet. Because at the end of the day pets aren't just animals, they really are family. I've been around animals my whole life; from fish and guinea pigs to cats and dogs. And don't worry, despite my small stature I can hold my own if your pets want to play tug of war for a bit. I also understand that building a bond with a pet takes time and I'm willing to be a long-term friend for your pet to make them feel comfortable.
Reviews
Heather is very caring and trustworthy! I was sure my dog was doing well with her. I will definitely use her services again!
Thank you so much!
I don’t want to say anything good because I selfishly don’t want Heather’s schedule to get filled up! She’s an absolute gem. Heather house sat and dog sat for us over the weekend and she was great! She was easy going, very respectful of our home, and great with our dog. Our pup didn’t seem stressed out when we got back which is so nice for her. Her communication was great. She texted lots of pictures and updates when I was able to respond and slowed down on them when I was busy. I really appreciated her intuitive approach. I will forever hire Heather for anything pet related in the future. I wouldn’t think twice about it. She is wonderful!
Heather was fantastic! Greg and Sam can sometimes be a handful but she handled them so well and we didn’t have to worry about them one bit. We knew they were in great hands. Heather came for a meet and greet and took the time to get to know the pups and their needs. She sent us pictures while we were away so we knew they were doing well and settled. It is a relief to know if we want to go away again we can use Heather. Thanks so much, Heather!

*Note: I do live with 2 other women and I know some pets can be overwhelmed by too many new people at once.* I do not have a fenced-in backyard, but what I do have is a trail, not even a 5-minute walk away from my house which has become my personal best friend for taking dogs for long walks (assuming the weather allows for one). If the weather doesn't permit, well when a dog has to go, they have to go! I won't melt and I'll make sure every paw is cleaned of salt because not everyone uses pet-safe salt. As for in your home, and mine at that, your rules are my rules. If your pet isn't allowed on the furniture at your house, then they aren't allowed on the furniture at mine.

Information Heather C. would like to know about your pet
As for information ahead of time, I actually have an entire questionnaire I made for new clients so I can always be on top of what is the current and possible changes for what's happening in your pet's life. The questions range from Breed, toy/food possession, walks per day, emergency contact, and many more to make sure all the T's are crossed and the I's are dotted.
A typical day
At my home, with the trail so close, I'm not afraid to use it. If your pet likes more park adventures, I have a car to drive us to Riverside or Exhibition park for more open area fun (did someone say frisbee?). Does your pet like puppichinos? I guess I have an excuse to get a nice cold drink! What about beef liver treats, dehydrated chicken bits, and all-natural peanut butter? My point is, if you choose me as your pet sitter I will do whatever I can to make sure your furry friend is having a good time and hopefully feels more comfortable with someone new.

Availability
I'm a full-time student taking a full course load in the last year of my undergrad where a lot of my time is spent on campus. I'm typically unavailable from 6-6 and that being said, my openings for new clients are very slim. You're more than welcome to reach out but I cannot guarantee anything.
