Furmama Spreading The Love
Pet care experience
The first and most important thing is that I will treat your pets as if they are my own! I am a die hard animal lover and that is why I decided to become a Rover sitter. I do not want me being new to deter you from booking with me. I give the solemn promise that your pets will be treated with kindness and love, and I will absolutely treat you, your home, and personal property with the upmost respect. I will treat your pets as if they are my own, and will ensure to follow any care instructions to the T. I believe that meet and greets are vital prior to a booking because it not only allows us to meet, me to meet your pets, but also it is the time where we establish what your expectations are while your pets are in my care. So don't be surprised if I show up with a notebook because I will most likely want to take notes. So I think that the best way to describe my pet care experience and skills is to tell you a little about each of my pets that I have had for the last 10 years. Bella: 10 year old Puggle Bella is my first dog, whom I actually found on Craigslist. She was the last puppy in her litter and no one wanted to take her, which to me meant she was meant to be dog. She has been my little best friend since, and she is going on 11 years old this year. She has a neurological issue that is affecting her back legs, and so we have to ensure that she is safe going up and down the stairs. Sheldon: 4 year old Cat (deceased) We were not planning on getting a cat when we adopted Sheldon. We went to Petco to get something for Bella and the NHSPCA was hosting an adoption event, and my husband immediately fell in love with him. He had quite the personality, and him and my husband were the best of friends. Unfortunately we lost Sheldon due to heart failure that they believe was caused by a heart murmur he had his entire life. Apollo: 6 year old Pitbull (deceased) My parents had originally adopted Apollo and his sister, who were rescues from the south. His sister was not good with him and my parents had to give him up. Luckily, I was able to adopt him. He is the first dog that my husband and I had together, and at the time my husband was not very much of a dog person at all. Apollo was such a good dog, and so sweet that he was able to breakdown that wall and make my husband a total dog person. Unfortunately, we recently lost Apollo to cancer. We lost him so quickly and unexpectedly that we are still processing and grieving over his passing. Kara: 3 year old Lab Mix Kara is a rescue from the south after she and her litter were found in a dumpster. She is a very good and sweet girl. She like to jump up all the time, and she really loves to give kisses. Her favorite thing in the world is her ball. We are constantly throwing it for her when we are home, and she gets anxious if she misplaces her ball. She is always go, go, go with it. After our dog Apollo passed Kara seemed to be taking it really hard. She grew up with him as her protector and playmate. Since his passing, she has been a lot more skiddish with people, which we are trying to help her overcome. Binks: 3 year old Cat We adopted Binks from the NHSPCA and he is the ruler of the house! He is a really sweet cuddler, but he can also have quite the attitude. The basement is currently his domain, even though he can roam the house. We recently adopted Dexter (below), and they have a strained relationship so Binks just likes to hang out in the basement. He will come and sleep with us at night though. Dexter: 2 year old Straffordshire Terrier We just adopted Dexter about a month ago. We had decided to get another dog because Kara was really struggling with losing Apollo and we figured getting her a playmate would help her. We were originally going to rescue a puppy until I saw his profile. He has spent his entire life in the shelter system, and has gone through abuse and neglect. We knew he needed a good home so we adopted him. Due to his previous life we have gone through a lot with him already in just the month that we have had him. He chases the cat, so we have to crate him during the day and at night. He is still unsure about going in the car, which we believe is because he has been dropped off so many times. Kara taught him how to play with toys! When we first got him we tried to play with him and he just didn't have a clue. He make little gremlin noises when he gives kisses and when he eats, which is adorable. He also seems to have damage to his throat, most likely from being chained up, so we have to be really careful around his neck. We use a gently leader on him to avoid pulling on his collar. Thank you for reading my profile, and for your consideration. I hope to be able to assist you with your pet care needs!

Heather is the BEST. She is so detailed in her drop-in visits and walks and I can tell from the (many many) photos she takes that my dog feels safe and happy with her. She genuinely treats him as if he were her own dog and that is so comforting to me, knowing that he’s in such caring and capable hands. If I can’t be there to take care of him, Heather is the one I want there in my place. 😍😍😍
Heather is amazing and her love of animals is abundantly clear. I needed a last-minute walking/stop in visit for my dog and she was perfect. She followed instructions to the letter and sent me photos and texts throughout the visit. I highly recommend!
Heather has taken care of my babies before. She is wonderful with animals. i have known her a long time and she has a heart of gold and does a great job interacting feeding them and taking care of their needs. Please giver a chance to show you. Thank you Vicky Prouty
