Heather was great with our little guy and was very easy to communicate with before and during his stay with her. Have no concerns whatsoever about him staying with her again in a couple of weeks time.

Heather is not trustworthy. When we met her, she seemed like a nice person, so we had high expectations. Unfortunately she turned out to be someone you do not want watching your furbabies while you’re away. We hired her to stay at our house and walk two dogs three times a day. During the initial call and pre-stay visit everything seemed to go well. I conveyed that the reason we wanted someone in our home (as opposed to someone else's or just walks) was because our lab was starting to get anxious and eat stuff (kids toys, crayons, etc.) and the other dog is a friend's. She never showed up the first night to walk the dogs and didn’t stay in our house as was promised (and paid for). Instead she showed up later the next morning (12+ hours after the dogs’ last walk). When we messaged her to ask if everything was ok, she acted like all was well and everything was going to plan. A flat-out lie. She returned to walk the dogs once that evening, but never returned. Again she didn’t stay the night. By 10am the next morning she hadn’t walked them. They’d now been locked in our house unattended for 16 hours. Literally twice as long as we told her was acceptable between walks. We had her call us and confronted her about her failure to meet our expectations. Only after being confronted and informed that she had been caught in a lie by our video camera doorbell did she change course. The next two days she walked the dogs three times and stayed with them overnight. Thankfully when we returned the dogs seemed fine, though I found pieces of a kids puzzle that they had chewed. I hate writing bad reviews, especially since Heather was perfectly nice and performed after we confronted her. Nevertheless, I would be very angry if someone had previously had this kind of experience with someone on Rover and said nothing. I'm concerned about what would have happened if we did not have the video camera doorbell.
