Pet care experience
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! I'm a natural pack leader and communicate well with all domesticated animals. Look no further if you want real-time updates, photos, and the assurance that your baby is in the best hands while you're away! My current pups are a 2-year-old 50 lb male, a 5-year-old 80 lb male, and an 11-year-old 60 lb female. They were adopted at the ages of 6 months, 1, & 3 respectively. With a lot of hard work (and many long walks) they have been socialized and turned into well-mannered pooches. I would love the opportunity to help you with your animals! Let me know what you and your pet need and it will be done!
Reviews
Thank you Heather!! You were SO wonderful and helpful with checking in on my kitties this week. I really appreciate the detailed reports (just AMAZING communication in general) as well as all the extra TLC to Jacques and Gus and all the Many cute photos. You are fantastic and my family is so happy to have found you. Thank you again!!
Heather did a stellar job looking after our two energetic pups while we were away for a week.
This is the first time we used Heather to take care of our 13 1/2 year old goldendoodle, Mollie. She was awesome and Mollie loved her. Heather was quick to respond to our text and also sent pictures of her visit with our pup. I would definitely use her again and highly recommend her.
Heather is the best handler we’ve had to date. She caught our attention with the statement “natural pack leader”. Which is what’s needed for our dogs. This told us that she clearly understands K9 behavior and what is needed to take care of our dogs. Her character, personality and skills is the first thing we noticed when she showed up for her meet and greet. And she showed up ready to go to work coming with her own things (leash, toys and treats). Within mins our minds were at ease. The dogs love the time and attention they receive. There is absolutely no issues. Heather is the best. James and Angelique

When your pup stays at my home they will be treated like family. I have a large, fenced-in backyard with an inground pool, so they will get tons of supervised playtime (or swim time when the pool is open.) When I am in your home, I will treat it as if it were my own. I will always pick up after myself and am even happy to assist with minor chores as needed.

Information Heather M. would like to know about your pet
How long have you had them? How do they interact with other dogs? What are their quirks or their fears? What do they do on a typical day? Are they house trained/kennel trained? -We do kennel if we have to leave the pups unsupervised for any reason. If your dog will be staying overnight, we ask that you bring their kennel with you. Are they up to date on all vaccinations? -We ask that you provide us with a copy of their most recent vaccinations before any stays at our home. *Meet-and-Greets before a new client's first stay are important to our pack dynamic. Because of this, it is unlikely that we will accept last-minute requests from new clients. **Because of the high volume of requests that we receive, I may not respond to messages from owners that are outside of my service area or to owners who have not fully completed their Rover profile.
A typical day
Walks, hikes, swims, runs, games of fetch & learning new tricks are so much fun! I want to keep your pup in its comfort zone, so we can go on adventures or just hang out and get belly rubs.

Availability
Generally speaking, I will only accept bookings from a limited number of clients each month to make sure that we (us & our 3 dogs) all get a break. For outcall services my schedule tends to vary a bit from week to week & day to day depending on the weather, my reoccurring client's schedules, & which cities I need to be in each day. I don't gurantee exact times because of this, but can generally narrow it down to a 1-1.5 hour window for my arrival time. For overnight house sitting I do not offer constant care. I have reoccurring walking appointments which will take me away from your home for several hours throughout the day as well as responsibilities at my own home which must be attended to. My husband works from home & pet sitting is my full-time job, so someone is always here. I do not overlap multiple clients for services in my home. In your home, pets will be treated exactly as they would be if you were there. In my home, pets will be expected to abide by some ground rules. For example, we do not allow dogs to counter surf or to sleep in our bed. We also keep gates up on certain rooms & at the top of the stairs for everybody's safety.
