Hi! I grew up with dogs and miss having them around. A few years ago I started taking care of two dogs for friends, and I enjoyed it so much I decided to start offering my services on Rover. I have a direct, friendly communication style with pets. With each pet I try to keep with the pets regular routine and style, based on the wishes of their owners. My morning, midday and evening involve walks in the neighborhood, around Humboldt Park, along the 606, or play time in a large fenced in yard. I will also drive to the forest preserves for weekend hikes on occasion. If you need a weekend away, I'll ensure your dog is in good hands, gets lots of exercise, and has a true doggie vacation.

We could not have picked a more perfect sitter for our pup! Heather was amazing. We had never left Oskee for a whole weekend so we were very nervous. She met us before hand to make sure Oskee was comfortable in her home and with her. She was very prompt at answering texts and phone calls as well. Heather assured us that everything was going to be okay and she proved that with the many pictures and updates she sent us throughout the weekend. Heather took Oskee on multiple hour-long walks and played with Oskee in the large fenced-in yard she has. When we picked Oskee up, she was happy and tired. We are so grateful for Heather and we will definitely be booking with her again!
As usual my pup got lots of exercise and love from Heater. She seems right at home with her

If time permits I'd prefer to have a dog meet up before the first stay, so your pet has an opportunity to meet us and will be more comfortable being left with us. I'd love to have the same dogs coming repeatedly, as it seems to be less stressful on the pet to be familiar with the place they are staying.
A typical day
I live a block from Humboldt Park and a few blocks from the 606 trail. Most dogs get to experience walks at both places or one or the other during their stay. We also have a yard, (the size of a full lot) for dogs who love to play and run wild, or just relax while we are outside. Note: There is another small dog in the building, but she is rarely in the yard at the same time, and has always played well with other dogs.
