Hi my name is Heather. To state the obvious, I am passionate about dogs. I love the little wiggles that puppies get and I love the way those older dogs just saunter as if time had no meaning. I am a dog sitter because I have found the symbiosis that exist when you have a passion and a career meet. Growing up in a small farm community in Wyoming my experience isn’t just house hold pets (no I won’t tell what the really long gloves are for) but I grew up with dogs, both my own pets, and then the pets that just wander. I took care of them too. I have experience working with all size of dogs and several breeds. If I have a certain dog breed in my care that I have not worked with before I make sure I do my homework and read up on the them. To set myself apart from other daycares or sitters or walkers is that I only take one client at a time. I am open to the “family of dogs” but the focus is one on one time I prefer to be able to play and enjoy all the puppy kisses one can offer. I have a fairly open schedule, I work from home, dress code is usually yoga pants and a sweatshirt. With your pets in my care for a dog boarding situation- First thing in the morning we go for a 30-minute walk along cedar river, possible stop and play in the dog park. My dog Asher then gets breakfast, depending on your pets schedule we can work around things like that. I have a tv room that is great for sequestering dogs when needed. Generally, we take a break from working every two hours to do potty breaks and to play around and burn off a bit of energy if needed. We are facing the back parking lot of our apartment to which is not busy at all during the day. In addition, there is also a grassy area that is perfect to play ball. It’s hard to say exactly how much time I can spend….24 hours, I am here all day long and every 2 hrs we go outside rain or shine. In a dog walking you are guaranteed two 30min walks these will be times based on case by case basis. Drop in visits for 30 minutes. We will be sure to go potty, but then its play play play. Maybe play some more. Asher, Arthur (my Husband who works full time and is home in the evenings), and myself cannot wait to share in all the excitement. Asher is the most loving adorable 110 lb. teddy bear. He loves tug of war but always seems to let the other guy win.
