Pet care experience
I currently work at Dogtopia and I am a full time student at HCCS. I have been CPR/First Aid Certified for dogs and cats. Due to my line of work I have gained a lot of knowledge of the do’s and don’t’s of different breeds, how they play, and how to tell if they are stressed/uncomfortable or if they’re happy. I also understand how important it is for pups to stick to their routines while away from their parents to keep their stress levels down. I have a basset hound and a senior foster dog at home myself so I know how important and stressful it can be to have someone new come to take care of them, I love animals and it is my #1 priority to make sure that they’re happy and comfortable while I’m taking care of them! :)

It is important for me to know the dogs overall behavior about walking on a leash, how they react to people or other animals, if they have any special requests, etc.
A typical day
I love to spend a lot of time outside with dogs so they can enjoy the nature and stimulate them with all of their senses while they sniff around and hear different sounds. I also really enjoy exercising them with running around, playing ball, and walking. I have a trail near my apartment that I especially love to go explore.

Availability
With my schedule with school and work, I have a few hours each day open that I’d love to fill with some regular walks and drop ins. I am available after 2pm on Monday and Wednesdays, available at 10am Tuesdays and Thursdays, and a little more flexibility Fridays through Sundays.
