It's hard to know just how Pepper's time actually passed during the days she spent with this sitter. But the dynamics were not smooth for us. We received a text shortly before we were leaving our home that the sitter would not be at home at the time we needed to leave Pepper, but that we could leave her at her grandparent's home & she'd get our dog later. No address was given,so I had to text and wait for a response. As we were approaching this new address, we saw a couple pulling out of the driveway, so we flagged them down. They told us that they thought they were to dog sit the next week. We left Pepper with another lady who was there. It worked...but felt very unsettled. When we were coming back to get Pepper, I texted and gave ample warning that we would be back (to the original address) at the time we had originally planned. Still, no one was home when we arrived. We could hear our dog crying, so we knew we were at the right place. I texted the lady again. She said she would be there soon. We waited, and she did come in about ten minutes. Pepper was frantic to go to the bathroom as soon as the lady opened the door. She can usually go for many hours, so I have no idea how long it had been since she was let out. And she was wild to get to water for a drink as soon as we opened the car door at home and kept returning to water. So who knows how the visit actually went. But I was left with quite a few unsettled questions in my mind. We were texted one picture, and that came to us on the way back to pick her up. I don't like to leave a bad review, but I definitely won't leave Pepper here again. We used another sitter from Rover last year, and I could tell not only from the pictures but the way Pepper acted when we picked her up that it had been a good place for her. It was not that way this time.
