Can't wait to meet you and your dog
Pet care experience
"Hello, thank you for considering me for your dog care needs. I encourage you to read my profile before sending me a booking request. Many of your general questions will be answered here. To begin, let's address the great dane in the room. Why am I priced higher than everybody else in the neighborhood? The simplest reason: I am a professional trainer and I have a lot more to offer than “just a walk”. Experience shows that training dogs in warehouse environments with a lot of other dogs takes a lot longer, and many times, the teaching doesn't translate into real world. Therefore, I offer personalized training in your dog(s)’ most comfortable environment. I typically spend about an hour with each dog to teach new behaviors or to improve on existing training methods. I work closely with my clients to socialize, understand, and improve behavioral traits ranging from resource guarding, dog aggression, to excessive barking. Do my methods work? Don't take my word for it! I highly encourage you read through the reviews on my profile left by some of the most amazing people I have met in life, thanks to Rover. A bit more on my background: I come from a mid-western town, Kansas City, home of jazz and Royals. I had a Brittany spaniel and have fostered several other Brittany spaniels. I worked at a shelter in my hometown where I gained invaluable experience learning dog behavior. I have helped a number of others train and care for rescue puppies and adults. Feeding, walking, cleaning, grooming, and teaching your dog(s) will be the highlight of my day. If my calendar shows as unavailable for the dates you need, you can still send me a message. Sometimes I am able to work with requests and I can also work on short notices.
Reviews
Harvey was wonderful. I had a fish that needed fed and the tank cleaned and he was up for the task and did an absolutely fantastic job. He was friendly, thorough and communicative throughout the entire process and shared pictures of everything. I am so happy I was able to find Harvey to help when I was in a pinch - strongly recommend.
Harvey was great with Kimi. He was very patient with my quirky requests and with her. Would definitely use his services again and recommend him for any fussy owner like me!
Once again Harvey was great at taking care of our 2 yorkies. I feel when we get home they are like “where’s Harvey?” :). For real, he is the best thing that could have happened to us. Traveling always gave me so much anxiety about how my yorkies would be taken care of, but with him this is not an issue. He is really a dog person

Information Harvey C. would like to know about your pet
The most important to get started would be your location and your desired timing. Current vet information An emergency contact who can make decisions for the dog while the owner is away. Make sure they’ll be reachable during the stay. Other important care information, such as feeding instructions, bathroom routine, and exercise schedule.
A typical day
It is very subjective to each individual dogs, my brittany on some days was a couch potato and some days would make me run 10 miles. But I frequent Hamilton Park and Van Vrost park 4-5 times a day in order to socialize the dogs under my care and a lot of times for distraction training. In adverse weather we generally work on training sessions indoor while going for a pee and potty break in between.
