Walk the Walk, and Bark the Bark
Pet care experience
My name is Harrison- I am 29 years old and currently work in corporate hospitality while I study for my LSAT exam. What better study break than to walk/care for/ give all the love in the world to your adorable fur-babies!? I firmly believe each and every individual dog requires it's own unique amount of love, and I am required to give as much (or as little) as your doggo desires. My entire life, my family had, at least, one dog in the household at all times. From the time I was born, to middle school we had two dogs, Casey, a Dachshund, and Willie, a Yorkshire Terrier. When Casey passed, we added Maggie, another Yorkshire Terrier, to our family so Willie wouldn't be alone. Unfortunately, Maggie had many health complications, and once we lost her, we gave all of our love to Willie until he passed, at 18 years young. From there, my family went a year and a half without a dog to love on and, needless to say, it was beyond depressing. At the beginning of my freshman year of high school, we opened up our house to two beautiful long-haired dachshunds, Rascal and Sweetie. Our lives were complete with them, and we were lucky enough to have them for many years. They passed within 6 months of each other and the void in my heart has yet to be filled. Dogs bring people happiness. A dog is not just a man's best friend, but a human's best friend. Regardless of the size, temperament, or care, dogs bring warmness, and excitement to my heart and so much happiness to my life. I have cared for many dogs throughout my life. Whether it be my families dogs, a friend's Pit/Terrier mix named Eva (who I fell in love with and cuddled with all the time), a different friend's Alaskan Husky, or my sister's new puppy. My experience for caring for dogs is extensive, and truthfully a true component of my upbringing. While I currently only offer dog walking/drop in visits, I plan on offering boarding at some point soon.

Safety, trust & environment
Firstly, all dogs require different levels of attention, love, and care. Due to growing up with dogs my entire life, I am very quick to pick up on what is, and is not, needed and/or wanted. I have so much love in my heart for dogs, and am an avid ear and belly scratcher! I currently live alone in a condo complex with great big yards, a beautiful road to walk on, and a brook in the back. I have walked many dogs all over this property and the brook is their favorite. There is also a tennis court where I can unleash and run around/play games with them. Should I travel to you to walk your dog, I will follow its lead (unless you specify otherwise) by allowing it to sniff around the familiar places. Unless there is a serious reason to, I will never pull on a leash or forcefully lead your dog somewhere it does not want to go. If i am doing a drop-in, clear instructions from you on what is needed would be greatly appreciated. Just know that I will also add cuddles, ear/belly scratches, and play time with your doggo! Sometimes a dog takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people. That's okay. It will not inhibit me from offering as much attentive care I can during our walk/ drop-in time.

Information Harrison L. would like to know about your pet
It's important for me to know if your dog has any special physical needs, dietary restrictions/preferences, allergies, behavioral issues, and if your dog is averse to being around other animals (should another dog cross our path during a walk). Also, I'd like to know any training it's had, if it has a preference for walking locations, and any other relevant information you feel is necessary to give your dog a comfortable and amazing experience!
A typical day
My favorite place to walk in Undermountain Rd. in Lenox simply because of how beautiful the view is. It's a very calming road, and I find that it's a great walk for dog's especially because it's not too strenuous, there is not a lot of traffic, and they get to immerse themselves in nature. Additionally, any wide open field, I find, entails a great time for the dog. Even if it just wants to trot around and smell all the different smells. Given the dog is trained in any sort of fetch game, adding that to the walk is always a plus! As I've stated many times earlier, I'm a big cuddler when it comes to dogs. So if doing a drop-in, along with following owner instructions, I will offer your dog my love in cuddles and treats (if allowed, of course!)

Availability
Currently I work Thursday through Monday, 10a to 6pm, so Tuesdays and Wednesdays are best for walks and drop-ins. However, if you requested an early morning walk, or an evening drop in on a day other than Tuesday or Wednesday, based on my schedule I would try my very best to make that work. Additionally, on Tuesday afternoons (either 4p-6p or 7p-9p) I have LSAT tutoring. I usually know several days in advance which 2 hr block it will be, and will update my availability then.
