Professional animal lover! 🐾

Pet care experience

- 15 years experience - Exotic experience - Able to provide medication - Flexible availability I've loved animals my whole life! I've grown up around animals. I currently have a cat, Opal, and a dog, Olive. Opal is a precious little brindle tabby who loves fighting with socks and basking in the sun. Olive is a very spoiled Italian Greyhound who loves both zooming and snoozing. I think of my clients’ pets as my own fur babies while they are in my care too! I'm comfortable around any dogs, any size, any breed. I'm happy to walk your dog or just to pop in and spend some time with your pup! No breed restrictions here! I’ll get to know you and your pup at a meet and greet to confirm that we are a good fit. I love kitties too! I grew up in a house with two cats, Lady and Tramp, and now I have my own cat, Opal. I'm happy to play with a wand toy or laser pointer, provide kitty cuddles, or just personal space, depending on your cat's preference. My personal policy with cats who don’t love company is that I like to find each pet in the home each day, just to make sure they are safe and healthy! I’m happy to check under beds, behind couches, etc. Let me know if your cat has any secret hideouts I should know of! Don’t worry, I won’t tell them you told me 🤫 Regarding injected medication: I don’t have experience there, but if you are willing to teach me or if you have a vet appointment coming up that you’d like me to tag along to so a tech can show me, I’d love to learn to add that to my arsenal. I’m always trying to learn to be a better caretaker.

Hannah did a wonderful job taking care of our cats while we were away on holiday. One of our cats requires multiple medications day and night and she did a great job! We appreciated all of the pictures. Would definitely book her services again!

Hannah did a great job sitting for our two dogs and home during a week long trip. She communicated well, giving us daily updates, which was especially reassuring when one of our little guys got sick while we were gone.

Safety, trust & environment

For my kitty clients, I know some are shy, but I like to make sure I see each cat every day that I take care of them to ensure their health and safety. I do my best to take cute photos, but every now and then you may receive a photo of Fluffy under the bed! Please let me know if your home has any access quirks! For example, if your door handle can only be unlocked from the inside, or if you have a security system I will need a code for. I’ll write these things down at our meet and greet, but I always appreciate a note with specific instructions just in case. Cameras are always welcome for your home and pets’ safety, but I do insist that there be no cameras in the bedroom or bathroom during house sitting stays. If there are cameras in your home during a house sitting stay, please let me know where they are located so we can both avoid the cameras catching me in my jammies during midnight potty breaks! While I’m at your home, I am diligent about cleaning up after myself. Before my client’s return home, I like to wipe down counters, wash any pet’s dishes, and vacuum/sweep/mop if needed. I’m not a housekeeper, but I can guarantee your home will be as clean or cleaner than when I arrived! There’s nothing worse than coming home to a mess after an exhausting trip. If you are particular about cleaning products used, please let me know so that I can adhere to what you prefer in your home! I want to keep your safe place safe for you when you return. Prior to leaving, please leave (either in the Rover app or on paper) the name and number of a trusted friend or neighbor in the area who knows your pets as well as the name and number of your vet. As I said, my clients are like family to me, and if I need to make an emergency vet run, I will do anything in my power to take care of your animals. I am experienced with administering oral and topical medications. If your pet has special needs, please let me know so that I can monitor them accordingly. I don’t have extensive experience with injections, but if you are comfortable teaching me your pet’s medication routine involving injections, I am comfortable with learning. During the meet and greet, I would like to go over any medications, and either I can take detailed notes, or you can leave written instructions, depending on your preference. Best case, let’s schedule our meet and greet at medication time, and I can learn exactly what your pet is used to! There is no additional charge for a pet with special needs unless additional time or drop ins are booked.

Information Hannah S. would like to know about your pet

- Diet. Does your pet have allergies? Do they like treats? Are they food aggressive or food motivated? - Health history. Has your pet had medical issues in the past that I should be aware of? Seizures, food allergies, skin issues? Who is your vet and what is their number? - Housekeeping. Is your pet allowed on the furniture? Where do you keep food and litter? Do your dogs or cats only drink filtered water or bottled water? Do you have a first aid kit accessible? Where is cleaning supplies kept? - Pet care: How long can your pet be alone, and do they stay in a kennel? Does your dog or cat prefer to sleep in bed? Is your dog crate trained? How long between potty breaks? Do they have a way of notifying they need to potty? - Personality: Has your dog ever exhibited aggressive tendencies, resource guarding, or reactive behavior? Does your pet struggle with anxiety related to noises or other triggers? - Training: Have you been working on any training with your dog that I can continue while you are away? I’m not a dog trainer, but I’ve trained my dog, and I know how important it is to keep at it. Let me know commands and hand signs to use while you’re away.

A typical day

Food: I will feed your pets exactly as you request, never any unapproved food or treats! Let me know how much food, how often your babies eat, and where food is stored, and I’ll be sure to follow your instructions. Same goes for treats! Play: Your pup and I can play fetch in the backyard or play tug in the living room. Walks are great too! Let me know if your neighborhood has a great walking trail I can take and if your pet has any kind of reactive behavior on walks. I’m happy to play with wand toys with kitties too! Bedtime: If your dog is crate trained, I’ll make sure they are securely in their kennel. If they have free roam over the house, that’s great too! Either way, we’ll take a potty trip outside right before bedtime. Personally, my dog is a 6:30 am bathroom trip girly, even on the weekends, so I promise your dog’s schedule cannot scare me! Let me know if your cats have a bedtime ritual (I.e. staying in one room, medication, etc.).

I teach music lessons locally, and I run an Etsy shop as well. Monday-Friday I may be teaching between 2 pm and 8 pm, but my schedule is flexible otherwise, and I’m happy to drop in between lessons if I have a break, during the day while you’re at work for a quick walk, or in the evening before bed. I like to stick as closely as possible to your pet’s schedule, so they can be happy, comfortable, and healthy while you’re gone.
