Dog cuddles are my specialty!

Pet care experience

I absolutely love spending time with dogs. While my career path is not one that is normally associated with animals (journalism), I plan to devote some time to volunteering at animal shelters or humane societies after graduation this Spring! A bit of background on my experience: I owned a diabetic pug (the best friend I will ever have) for 14 years, so I have LOTS of experience with dogs that need extra care and attention. (Also, if you’re familiar with pugs, 14 years is a long life for a pug, so I must have been doing something right! LOL) My pug, Sushi, had to be given two insulin shots a day, a task I was resposible for before going to high school and at dinner time. He was also allergic to high protein foods, so I have about 14 years of experience of being keenly aware of where a dog is and what they’re doing (or rather, what they’re eating!) at all times, so you can rest assured that I will always be attentive to your pup! While I have more experience with smaller dogs, I have pet-sit for neighbors and Rover customers with large and medium sized dogs many times and can keep up with their size and energy. Some of my favorite activities with dogs: I love cuddles, play time, and seeing all of the cool tricks you’ve taught your dog. I also love exploring the neighborhoods and parks around the Syracuse University campus on walks with dogs, and can handle a dog easily excited by a squirrel! My availability is slightly limited due to me being in college. During the week, my Mondays and Wednesdays are free before 12:30 PM and after 2 PM; and Tuesdays and Thursdays I am free before 11 AM and after 3 PM. I usually study in my apartment or in other dog-accesible places, so there should not be many instances where your dog is left alone in my care. This is for your ease of mind (and mine too!). I also have a flexible cancelation policy for your convenience! I thank you for taking the time to read this and hope you will consider me to look after your fur baby!

Hannah is AMAZING. I have known her for many years, and she has been nothing but loving and responsible around my two dogs. I would absolutely trust her to watch them, whether it be for walks or extended stays. She is communicative and would always give 100% care to any animal
