Hi! Dogs have always been a fundamental part of my life. I grew up with family dogs and volunteered at the pound, fostered for recues after college, and adopted a rescue this summer! I grew up with a Pug and a Shih Tzu and began volunteering at a shelter when I was 11 where I helped socialize puppies and kittens. After college I worked at a doggy day care where I encountered every personality and breed of dog imaginable. This really helped me hone in my skills and gave me a solid understanding of behavior and navigating tough situations. I've successfully fostered a German Shorthair Pointer and a retired racing Greyhound- one was a flight risk and one had severe anxiety, but after a lot of hard work they're well-adjusted and have moved on to their forever homes! Taking care of dogs, even if it's just a walk, is my happy place.
