Pet care experience
I have experience with dogs with separation anxiety because my rescue dog has it. I have also done extensive training with her and believe in positive reinforcement. I have experience with senior dogs since my mother has an elderly beagle who has limited mobility. I can give medications using pill pockets and can bond with even very shy dogs.

Hannah stayed with our elderly dog, took care of our birds and was willing to do some plant watering. Her communication with me was great and I found her to be flexible and punctual. Everyone was happy when we returned and everything in place.

I am willing to walk dogs or run around in a fenced in yard with them. I even will go on runs with dogs if they have those energy levels. I keep routines well and feed on schedule, give medicine on schedule, etc

I would prefer to know ahead of time any problem behaviors a dog may have. I am still more than willing to care for a dog that has some difficult behavior, but it is always best to be as prepared as possible. I would also like to know the routine and what the dog is used to so that I can mirror the routine as best as I can and avoid unnecessary stress on the dog.
A typical day
Typically with the dogs I watch, I will meet them where they are at. If they are a dog that loves being outside and exploring, I will absolutely provide that for them. For long walks, I usually try to find a bike path or quieter street to take them on walks. If they prefer to lounge around inside and cuddle, that's just fine too!

Availability
I work full time (typical hours), but pet care is a huge part of my daily routine. I spend a good amount of time each day on my dog and my guinea pig. They are both rescues, so they require some extra attention sometimes.
