Pet care experience
I have taken care of my own pets for as long as I can remember. My dog back home is almost 15 years old and I have taken care of him since the day he was born. I have also had the pleasure of working at an animal hospital for the last 7 years as a kennel attendant and a veterinary technician assistant. I am now a fourth year vet student at the University of Missouri - College of Veterinary Medicine and I still love interacting with and taking care of animals.

I live in a house with a large fenced backyard. I have one cat that lives here with me, as well as my roommate's dog. Both my cat and my roommate's dog have interacted well with many other pets that have come to visit our house and they love having new friends to play with. The only thing I require is that all pets that stay with me are on flea and tick prevention and up to date on vaccinations.

I would like to know if there are any special instructions for a dog such as special feeding times, medications, or anything like that. I also require that any dog I watch is cat friendly since I have my own cat living with me, as well as that they are spayed/neutered, on flea/tick prevention, and up to date on vaccinations.
A typical day
I love going on walks and try to take one myself every day. I would love to be able to take a dog along with me on my daily routine. I live right beside a very nice subdivision I like to walk through, as well as a small park I walk through going to and from the subdivision.

I am usually home quite a bit throughout the day. I'm gone to class for about 4-6 hours on average every day. My own cat gets fed twice daily, so I could easily incorporate another pet's schedule into my day.
