Has Flown to Iceland to Pet a Dog

Pet care experience

I am a full-time college student living and working in Keene, New Hampshire. On my walk to classes each day, I pass by a beautiful husky in a neighbor's yard who I have spent way too much money buying treats and toys for. I love dogs, and I believe they deserve as much love and attention as any other family member. I have rescued quite a few strays from my hometown in my tiny Honda Civic. I did pet sit for my boss, Kristie, and coworker, Beth, which included four dogs (all of which needed oral medication day and night) as well as horses, donkeys, chickens and bunnies. All animals deserve to be treated with respect and kindness and therefore I happily commit to a very high standard of care. I am very open to communicating frequently over text as well as phone calls, and will be happy to update you with stories and pictures of your dog. As stated in the title, I went to Iceland recently where I saw six dogs in total, one of which I got to pet and I have never been happier in my entire life.

Hannah is an incredibly caring and responsible individual. She will go above and beyond what is needed to ensure those she is working with or working for are happy. She loves to spend time with her "puppy sister" and take her on adventures in the woods. She always makes sure her dog is safe and comfortable in any situation. If Hannah is to house sit, she will ensure the house is just as clean as it was when she arrived if not even cleaner. Her enthusiasm for dogs and all other animals does not go unnoticed.

As Hannah's boss I can say she is respectful, dedicated, and very responsible. These attributes hold true to her love of dog sitting as well! Hannah has watched my dogs, 100 lb old English bulldog and French bull dog, many times. It was very important to me as the pet owner that Hannah felt comfortable with the dogs, especially with one of them being rather large and protective. She takes the time to ask necessary questions, meet the animals, and I always know the dogs are being well taken care of while in Hannah's care! I highly recommend Hannah for anyone who is looking for someone to care for their dogs, or any animals for that matter!

Hannah loves dogs (and cats!) more than anybody I know, and has watched my and my elderly parents' pets (including a "special needs" dog) on many occasions. She is sweet, personable, of high moral caliber, and is a genuinely warm and caring person. She once went to Iceland with the sole purpose of getting to pet an Icelandic dog. Would recommend-- 5 stars out of 5

Hannah and I have worked together for a couple years now and we have both watched our boss's dogs and she does an excellent job! She's very caring and loves animals very much!

Information Hannah L. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know how a dog is around new people as well as groups of people in public. If the dog has any health issues that is critical to know, as well as who the local vet is. I have no breed preferences as I recognize that each dog will have individual quirks. I am open to working with all dogs, large and small.

A typical day

I am someone who is looking to work out and hike a lot anyways this summer, so I will be thrilled to take a dog on (safe) adventures around the area. If I and the owner are both comfortable I have experience taking just one as well as multiple dogs on hikes near local mountains and trails, such as Goose Pond and Mt. Pigsah, although I can also stay local and walk your dog around the neighborhood. I also enjoy playing ball with dogs and going through training with them in order to learn new tricks and keep them active mentally
