Fun-loving and responsible sitter!

Pet care experience

I have over 10 years of experience in pet sitting- not only for our family dog, but for many animals over the years (including dogs, cats, turtles, fish, and more!) My own dog passed away at 13 years old in 2017, and I've missed her every day since! I currently work full-time during the week, but I love meeting new animals and I would love to help out around the neighborhood on the weekends! You are looking to hire someone to care for a member of your family, and I take that responsibility very seriously. My experience ranges from puppy care to senior dog care as well as adult-aged cats (2-8 years old). I have experience in walking, giving baths, administering medication, and more. I am always happy to talk about specific care details over messages and during meet and greets.

Niko had the best time, and really wasn't too happy to see me when I finally picked him up. Hanna and her family were great, and she is definitely a 5 star sitter. Nothing but the highest kudos for her.

Hannah was great. She was easy to communicate with and flexible to last minute scheduling changes. She sent regular pictures of Franklin and kept us appraised to how he was doing. We would definitely use Hannah again

Safety, trust & environment

I follow owner instructions very closely. You know your pet and your home better than I ever will- and your pet's safety and comfort are my number one priority. That said- I would always prefer a meet and greet to see how a pet behaves around me in any given space, and I love to talk through the details of how I can make sure that a pet is happy and safe in their own home/ on their regular walking routes.

Information Hannah I. would like to know about your pet

While I have no specific breed preferences, I would like to know a few things: - Does your pet need medications - If so, how are they administered, and how often? - How does your pet usually react to you administering them? - How might your pet react to a sitter (stranger) administering them? - Is your pet up to date on their vaccines? - Are there any behavioral issues that I should be aware of? - How well do they get along with other animals? - Does your dog get along with other dogs in public? - Does your dog get along with cats? (either in public or within the household) - Is your dog reactive to smaller animals in the street? What does this look like if so? - Is your cat friendly with other cats (either in public or within the household)? - Does your pet have any favorite toys? - Does your pet have any favorite treats? - How food-motivated can your pet be? - What are your pet's favorite spots around town to go for walks and visit their friends? - Are they house-trained? It is not necessary to be 100% house trained, however, I would like to know that I need to take a dog out more frequently to avoid accidents! - Who is your preferred veterinarian in case of any emergencies?

A typical day

Dogs: My favorite place to take dogs is usually to a dog park to socialize with other dogs and get their energy out. For higher-energy dogs, I typically walk them to the dog park to get out their immediate energy and then out for a longer walk afterward. For mid-level energy dogs, I typically take them to the dog park, and then for a moderate 20-30 minute walk after. For lower energy dogs, a 20-30 minute walk usually works for them. For dogs that don't necessarily know how to interact with other dogs so well, we will ditch the dog park and go for our own fun for however long they can handle! All of this is contingent on your instructions- you know your dog's energy levels and daily routine, and I am always happy to stay as close to their normal schedule as possible! Cats: This is entirely dependent on the cat! I am happy to play with them/ sit and hang out with them if that is what they want- or if they're more shy around unfamiliar people, I'm good with staying to make sure they are fed and know that someone is checking in on them. This is specific to whatever level of interaction your cat is comfortable with, and I will always depend on owner instructions to make sure they are being fed and interacted with as normal.
