- Lentil is a 6 year, 2 mo. old Jack Russell Terrier & Mixed in Richmond, CA
Lentil is our little angel! She is like our baby and we care a lot about her. We got her from a rescue when she was about 12 weeks old. I used to be a dog walker and almost went into dog training, so we did quite a bit of positive-reinforcement dog training classes with her when she was a puppy. So she had a great foundation and is a very sweet and well-behaved dog. She loves people and kids and other little dogs. She can be a little scared of big dogs if they are too high energy or if they're not very gentle with little dogs. She is a rescue, so we aren't fully sure of her breed...probably a mix of jack russel terrier with other terrier types. However, Lentil doesn't have the crazy temperament of a jack russel. She is very mellow and quiet when she's in our house. She does run fast and have bursts of energy when we take her out or take her to the dog park, but she isn't on 10 all the time like many jack russels. She knows how to relax! Lentil loves to play fetch and she likes hanging out with other little dogs. She likes to sit in the sun and loves to lay on big giant piles of blankets...the higher the better! We call her queen of blanket mountain :)
- Sex: Female
- Age: 6 years, 2 mo. old
- Weight: 15lbs
- Breed: Jack Russell Terrier & Mixed
- Tracking Chip: Yes
- Spayed: Yes
- House Trained: Yes
- Gets along with children: Yes
Lentil LOVES children. She gets very excited and wags her tail when she sees kids. If kids are afraid of dogs, we keep Lentil on leash because she will want to go over and say hi to them!
- Gets along with other dogs: Yes
Lentil gets along great with other dogs, but she is a little afraid of big dogs if they don't know how to be gentle with little dogs. She has had a number of big dog friends, but they are usually good about playing gently with little dogs. Some more high energy big dogs tend to chase her because she's a fast runner...and that's caused her to have a bit of a fear of big dogs...she usually just put her tail between her legs when she's up close with a big dog. She is great with other little dogs and love to play with them and run around with little dogs.
- Gets along with cats: No
She's very friendly with cats, but she doesn't get that cats don't want to play with her so the cat might feel intimidated by her. She just hasn't been around cats much and doesn't really know how to behave with them.
