Pet care experience
I’m a lifelong dog lover and am comfortable taking care of dogs with a range of activity needs, providing training on simple commands and tricks, and more! As a kid, I took care of a shih tzu/miniature poodle mix named Mini Cooper on weekends, so I learned the responsibility required of dog owners at a young age. When I turned 11, my family adopted a golden retriever named Jersey, and we took in a high-energy Australian cattle dog named Foster shortly after that. I spent my childhood walking, exercising, training, feeding, bathing, and snuggling Jersey and Foster. As soon as I moved to Florida for graduate school, I adopted a dog of my own - I could not stand being in a home with no fur-balls running around. My dog Bandit is a friendly rescued mutt with tons of puppy energy. He behaves will with dogs of all sizes and ages, including his “Uncle Foster,” who is now a senior pup with attentive care needs.

Hannah was awesome. She sent pics throughout the weekend and her pup was so friendly. Will be booking again, I felt so comfortable with her throughout the entire process. From beginning to end.
Hannah is great! She watched our 2 doggos (2 pit mixes, one 80lb sweet boi, one 55lb with some leash aggression) and took great care of them- came to the house at the perfect times (times we had asked for), fed them, walked them long enough to do their business, and no noteable issues with the smaller dog and his leash aggression! Definitely will book again.

I live on a quiet, dead end street, and my backyard has a privacy fence. My home is clean, and I close off rooms so dogs are restricted to my office and the main living area during the day. I am experienced with crate training, and have crates and dog beds available if needed. Bandit’s toys are all chewer-proof, and I do not provide stuffed toys to avoid any risk of gut obstruction. I use Bocce’s Bakery and Full Moon beef jerky treats for Bandit. Please share any preferences or restrictions you have, and I will be happy to accommodate your pup’s needs!

Please let me know whether your dog has any special needs or behaviors I should note ahead of time. Let me know if they are reactive and their activity level so I can plan our activities. Does your dog have any allergies or sensitivities? Are there any restrictions I should know about (e.g., not allowing dogs on furniture)? I will also need current vet information, an emergency contact if you are not reachable, and instructions for feeding, potty routine, and exercise. Lastly, please let me know if you have any questions and/or concerns.
A typical day
I love keeping the dogs I watch physically and mentally active to make sure their stay is fun and enriching. Bandit and I go on daily runs and walks, and we hike on weekends. This routine makes it easy to accommodate high energy dogs, but we're also happy to take it easy based on your pup's needs. I also give Bandit licky mats with banana and/or peanut butter, bully sticks, carrots, and snuffle blankets. I am happy to provide your pup with any of these types of enrichment according to your preferences. I am comfortable with basic training, so please let me know if you would like me to practice commands with your dog and/or if you have specific commands you'd like me to use.

Availability
I am a marine biology PhD student with a flexible work schedule, so I am available any time for walks, potty breaks, day care, and/or boarding. I walk Bandit in the mornings and afternoons, and we have additional play/training time during my lunch break. Since my schedule is flexible and my routine is built around taking care of my pup, caring for your pet easily fits into my calendar. I offer same-day cancellation.
