I've always had dog(s) in my household since I was a little girl. I've seen them all, hyper dogs, lazy dogs, mean dogs, social dogs, and dogs that think that they're human. In my experience in dealing with all of these personalities I've noticed one trait that is essential in dog-care, patience. Patience is something that I have no shortage of, I've seen it all. Trust me, I've seen the nitty, the gritty, and the nasty...nothing can scare me away. In terms of my tangible experience, I've logged an immense amount of hours volunteering at animal shelters and pet-sitting for various friends and family. I have had extensive experience working in animal hospitals and am currently studying veterinary medicine in uni! When I came to study veterinary medicine, I had to leave my dogs at home and I tried to be around dogs every chance I got. In uni, I was able to raise a guide dog for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. While I am so proud that my pup has gone on to do great things, I miss having a dog all the time!
