I grew up taking care of a barnyard animals but of course, when given the choice, stayed inside and took care of my two pugs instead. My neighbor started paying me to watch their Golden Retriever for a week at a time when I was 10. The rest is history! I’ve dog sat (and watched kitties) for friends and family ever since. In college, I worked at a local doggy daycare and spent hundreds of hours over the years volunteering at the NHSPCA in Stratham, NH. My time at the NHSPCA was mostly spent dog walking, but of course helped out in all areas indoors and with the outdoor animals as well. These days, I spend all of my time with my own two dogs. I have a four year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and a three year old English Bulldog. I raised them both since they were 8 weeks old, so I'm very familiar with the puppy stage. I believe if you have the patience to potty train an English Bulldog, you can conquer the world. My dogs are high energy and I believe my experience wrangling these two on a daily basis is the work of five more. Their size difference alone allows many opportunities for training and use of safety protocols multiple times throughout the day. My two dogs often get together with other dogs belonging to friends and family, so I have experience managing multiple (crazy) pups at one time.
