Ready to spoil your fur baby!

Pet care experience

Growing up with a very active lab mix and very inactive Shih Tzu (who would rather be carried than walked) means I have the perfect experience for being whatever your dog needs. I can be a snuggle-buddy, a lover of zoomies (or, you know, normal walks), or someone who gives a timid pet space. I have behavioral training from my time volunteering at a local animal sanctuary, so I am perfectly fine working with any size dog and any kind of temperament. I also have experience giving oral medications, working with senior pets, and helping special needs dogs. I've also cared for a number of different animals through this app (dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, bunnies, fish -- even a pigeon once!) The reason I started on the app is rather sad. In June 2019, my best friend, Mello, passed away very suddenly and it broke my heart. Because it was so unexpected, I still had a heart full of love that needed a furry outlet. I started volunteering at an animal sanctuary and working through Rover that summer. Now that I've graduated college, I still love petsitting whenever I am free. I now have a lovely cat named Kiwi so I'm very comfortable working with cats as well as dogs. She has really opened my eyes to all the different needs that cats have compared to dogs and it's made me a better pet sitter. I hope to meet (and potentially spoil) your fur baby soon. Feel free to message me with any questions you have!

Hannah was wonderful with our 2 pups! She handled some challenging situations well (dealing with an anxious doggie), and sent us frequent updates with photos. Hannah was able to develop a good rapport with them even though the little one gave her a hard time. My husband and I appreciate the great care she demonstrated with our precious pups, and we hope that Hannah will be willing to come back and pet sit for us in the future!

Hannah did a fantastic job with all 3 of our pups! They were very well taken care and everything went smooth. I will definitely be using her again in the future!

An amazing pet sitter for my two kittens! She kept me updated on how they were doing after each visit along with pictures. I would absolutely recommend Hannah!

I do not bring any pets to my home currently, but while I'm at a client's home I am careful to follow the owner's instructions for their pets. I measure out food, make sure to give food and take walks at the normally scheduled time, etc. I will usually ask the owner to write down a routine for me to follow so that I can best keep their fur babies in their normal schedule. I also like to have the vet's information in case anything were to happen. I've never had to use that yet but if there ever were a problem I would be grateful to have that handy. When I do walks in the neighborhood, I make sure to ask if the any pets are aggressive. There is absolutely no judgement in this question -- many times they may have trauma causing them to feel on guard and lash out. I also ask about dogs in the neighborhood so I can better understand if there are any dogs that I should avoid completely, or ones that are best friends with the client's dog, etc. I will not let a client's dog off the leash unless there is a fence in place, and I don't let dogs around other animals without express permission from the owners. I do my best to prevent anything from happening and err on the side of caution when caring for other people's fur babies (just like I would want someone to do for my own!)

Information Hannah D. would like to know about your pet

I would mainly like to know about the pet's temperament so I can be the best sitter for them. I know having their family leave for a weekend can be hard, so if your pet is anxious I'd like to know the best ways to help them slowly feel more comfortable. What do they love to play with? Do they like snuggles or space? Do they have a favorite toy, or a favorite route to walk? Do they have any friends/enemies in the neighborhood? I'm willing and excited to accomodate all temperaments, and all active (or inactive) lifestyles!

A typical day

We can walk near the home, on local trails, or just play around in the yard with a ball! I also have some behavior training from volunteering at an animal shelter, so we can practice fun tricks, too! Or, if your pets really just love snuggles, I am more than happy to lounge around inside with them. I definitely cater to the pet's personality and what they are most comfortable with.

I have a cat named Kiwi who will need to be fed, and I do have work Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm through the summer, but I would love to take care of your pets over the weekend. Come autumn my schedule may change to 4 days on 4 days off (I am a 911 calltaker), so I may have other days of the week open as well, it will all depend on the rotation I'm in.
