I'm a long-time pet lover who misses having pets and would love to take care of yours! I've lived in Atlanta for 5 years. I’m a graduate student (MFA in Fiction candidate) at GSU, so I have a relatively flexible schedule. I grew up with three cats, four dogs, five horses, two guinea pigs, and two birds, so I've always loved animals and have plenty of experience caring for them. When I'm sitting in your home, I'll of course walk your dog a few times a day. I'll also play with them and pet them so they know they’re loved. I'll make sure your pup's well fed and happy before I leave your house. Or I might decide to spend the night if that's your preference. Looking forward to meeting you and your pups! Other background: We lived in the woods of Texas when I was a kid, and our dogs were allowed to run free. I considered myself one of the dogs and often followed the pack on hunts and slept by their sides at home. I miss living with dogs, so your pup(s) or other creatures will receive plenty of attention, time outside, and cuddling with me. I love being outside, and I love spending time outside with animals, so I'll take your pup out often. Plus I will make sure your dog (or cat) gets plenty of ear scratching and cuddle time at home. (If you don't like your dogs on the couch or bed, please let me know, as I'm liable to let 'em up there.) I'm able to supervise your pups whenever I'm at your place and I can provide immediate transportation to a vet in case of an emergency. I love walking/running dogs, so I'll be sure your dog gets plenty of exercise and playtime. My experience administering medication: I'm VERY comfortable administering pills orally, as I did this for our now passed (March 2017) cat, Eartha, twice a day, every day for years for her chronic kidney failure. I also administered sub-Qs to her once every three days. And if your dog requires other treatment (such as shots), I can do that if you're willing to instruct me and watch me do it once.
