I have lived with dogs my entire life and have been boarding for at least 10 years. My mom was very into rescuing, so we were regularly fostering dogs in need as well as adopting. I grew up with a large (140 lb) Great Pyrenees and a very high energy pit bull, so I have plenty of experience handling large and hyper dogs. . My dog right now is just ten pounds. On weekends, I drop by the Animal Center to walk and play with the dogs. My boyfriend who lives with me also loves taking care of dogs just as much, and his mother was a professional trainer and groomer who boarded out of her home (which I have helped with in the past). I'm a homebody for the most part and just love to sit on the couch with my dog, and I'm extremely patient with boarded dogs because I understand it can be stressful. I usually go on walks every 2-4 hours, and we'll take trips to Pease Park in the evenings. I take caring for dogs very seriously. I don't trust many people with my own so I want people to feel safe leaving their dog in my care. My dog has special needs, so I have no problem accommodating requests. Updates and photos will always be provided, as well! I also have a crate for crate trained dogs if the owner requests their dog have that option. Otherwise, someone is almost always home.
