Pet care experience
I've been caring for pets as far back as I can remember! Throughout my childhood I regularly helped my family take our pets on routine walks, prioritized plenty of play time, and stayed on top of their eating and medication schedules. My animal-loving nature came with me to college where I readily supported friends and roommates whenever they needed an extra hand with their furry kin, and as a result, I became increasingly confident with dogs of varying breeds, sizes and ages. This insight was especially useful while working for a dog-walking service throughout graduate school. Now as young professionals, we currently have 2 sweet cats of our own, Cheddar and Jack, who do well with other animals. We hope to meet your pet in the future and promise to care for them just as our would my own.

Hannah and Christopher are fantastic dog sitters! They've watched Olive multiple times, and each time they've provided excellent care and attention. Olive always has a comfy stay and comes back happy. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of reliable and caring pet sitters!

We live in a single family home in a low-traffic, dog-friendly neighborhood in South Salt Lake. The neighborhood walking routes are quiet and safe. We live just a block from the paved S-line path, and near dog friendly parks. Chris and I are very active, so if your dog enjoys going on runs or needs a little extra daily activity, let us know!! We're more than happy to burn off some energy alongside them. As for our cats, Cheddar and Jack, they usually keep to themselves but when feeling social, he gets along great with other animals. He regularly spends long periods of time with my family's dogs (one large German shepherd mix and one smaller rat terrier chihuahua mix). Our home has plenty of room for your furry pal to lounge and relax-- I'm confident that s/he'll quickly feel just as at home as we do!

I feel it is important to learn as much as possible about your pet prior to sitting. It will be important to know their favorite activities, and preferred scratching spots :) Learning about anything that might discomfort your pet as well as how he reacts to different animals be essential. I would also love to know what typical behavior and activity levels are like for your pet. This will support me in providing your pet with a comforting and enjoyable experience!
A typical day
We’ll go on walks around the neighborhood, on nearby trails, and even nearby off-leash parks in the area, given owner permission and assurance that this is safe.

Availability
I currently work from home every Tuesday, Wednesday, and frequently Friday, while my husband, Chris works from home M/W/F. On Thursdays when we both work outside the home, I am a 5-minute drive away and easily able to come home for walks as needed. Like myself, Chris has extensive pet care experience and will team with me in all pet care services, especially boarding. As for dog-walking services, our general availability is early morning, late afternoon and evening walks. Altogether, Chris and I will be available for around-the-clock pet care during the weekdays, but will have intermittent availability during weekends. If you have any specific questions, please reach out! We aim to be as accommodating as possible for your pet needs :)
