Pet care experience
I grew in a family that trains dogs to hunt upland game birds as well as live in the house. I have had the opportunity to house train many puppies as a result. My dogs were a huge part of my childhood because I was an only child, and I have tried to continue working with dogs after moving from home. Before starting grad school, I worked full time at a doggy daycare where I was a daycare attendant and boarding lead. This experience taught me how to understand doggy body language as well as how to accommodate the needs of all different breeds. I was in charge of feeding, potty breaks, cleaning kennels, and administering medication for over 40 dogs each weekend, so I am very confident in my ability to meet your dog's physical and emotional needs.

Last summer, Hannah came to watch my dog, Django. For the 3 weeks that I was on vacation, she followed every instruction exactly as written, exercised him, and even taught him a few tricks. She also took plenty of pictures to send while I was gone because I missed him so much!
Hannah helped greatly with the dog kennels at Sandy Run Hunt Co. She worked with the daily care, feeding, cleaning and exercise of the bird dogs. She also helped with bird dog training and the occasional whelping and litter care. Hannah has shown her ability to work with many different dog breeds and various dog behaviors and interactions. Her love for dogs comes out in the care, diligence and positive actions she shows towards them.

I love to walk and be outside. I would be happy to bring your dog on an energetic walk or even a slow, relaxing walk if needed. On days when it is hot, I am very mindful to monitor signs if your dog needs a break.

A typical day
I love to walk where your dog's nose takes us - while being mindful of time and safety of course! If I come to visit your house, I would be happy to either provide cuddles on the couch or go to the back yard for fetch, depending on your setup/needs.
