Before watching any animals I will need to know if they have any allergies, medications or special behaviors I should be aware of. For instance, my dog Rosie hops like a bunny rabbit. It's important I let sitters know this ahead of time so they don't think she injured herself and that's why she's hopping.

In general I will try to mimic what a typical day looks like in your house when watching your pets. By not adding too many new or surprising activites it allows the animal to feel more at ease with new people in their territory when you're not there. That being said, I will checks food and water bowls, take your pet on a walk if applicable, and interact with them in whatever way is less stressful for them during each visit. For some pets that could be gentle petting session and for others it may be intense high energy play sessions. I will meet each pet where they are most comfortable.
