Hana Ra would be an excellent pet sitter or dog walker. She is a smart, considerate scholarship student at the University of Washington in Seattle who is mature beyond her years (she is 18). She grew up with pets with her family in Hawaii, and she misses her King George Cavalier Spaniel that remains with the family back home. I have been very close to her and her family since she was a little girl when I lived in Hawaii as well. A couple years ago I started a new life in Seattle, and now that she is here too, Hana is again like part of our family, including our two-year-old German Shepard, Riley. Riley is a big dog, trained as a companion service animal, and is characteristically protective of us, but he immediately warmed to her and has become her faithful companion too. They play together and he respects her. She is comfortable and caring with him, and he accepts her as if they grew up together (which is high praise from a dog of this type). She understands him and treats him well, both when he is on a leash and off a leash, at home, at the dog park and around town. We would have no reservations entrusting him to her care. Hana is a very responsible woman, and would understand the needs of another's pet, and of the quality of service expected from the pet's owners. A nice, caring, model student, I believe she would exact the same diligence to attending to a pet as she does to her studies. I recommend her highly as a pet sitter or dog walker!
