Pet care experience
Hi there! I'm always the one my friends call to house-sit and take care of their pets when they go away. I would like to help you out too! I have worked full-time as an educator for 20+ years. Since I have worked with kids, I have been background checked and fingerprinted - and I have a crystal clean record! I am honest and trustworthy, and I've always had a special connection with children and animals. I've had dogs as pets my whole life - except for now, and I miss it! I recently moved, and I can't have pets in my new place. I would like to share my love for animals and experience house/pet-sitting with you, so that you can leave for the day or go on vacation with one less worry on your mind (and so that I can get covered in fur and wet doggy kisses, and share some unconditional love!).

She’s amazing! So caring, loving and thoughtful. The girls miss auntie Hally!!! She’s one of a kind!
Halli is absolutely amazing! She is the dog whisperer as far as I'm concerned, understanding each of our dogs' quirks and tendencies individually and taking care of them accordingly. She left the house better than she found it as well. We couldn't be happier to find someone we can trust to keep them while we are away.
Amazing! Halli is so loving, caring, thoughtful...really engaging in play time, correcting naughty behavior when necessary, nurturing and really bonding. So grateful to have you as extended family!
Halli was wonderful! Sammie our dog seemed just as happy and relaxed when we returned from our trip as when we left. Our house was exactly the way we left it and Halli was great about sending detailed updates! She let us know what activities they did and how our girl was sleeping and eating and that she was given plenty of relief breaks. I think Halli truly loves dogs and I look forward to booking her for Sammie again. :) Thanks Halli from Sammie and Us!

Skills
Information Halli S. would like to know about your pet
The best experiences come from clear communication. The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for him/her. More or less exercise? Too much food or not enough? Okay on the furniture or a big no-no? Strong on a leash and/or aggressive towards other dogs, or stops to smell every blade of grass and barely notices what or who else passes by? Where does (s)he sleep? What are his/her favorite toys? You get the idea...
A typical day
I volunteer at the Agoura Animal Shelter, so I have been trained on how to handle many different types of dogs, including dominant breeds (pit bulls, rottweilers), various personality types (dogs that are scared, aggressive, strong, etc.) some that have injuries and/or missing limbs, puppies, older/senior dogs, etc. I like long walks, playing ball and frisbee, and I always carry extra potty bags. Cuddling and laptime are great too (even the big dogs!). I tailor my care to your pets' needs. I am equally happy caring for cats, bunnies, birds, fish, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes (in cages, please), horses, goats, etc. - and I have experience taking care of all of these animals and more. I spent eight summers at a camp with an excellent animal care program; when I "grew up," I went back to direct that summer camp for four years. I am an equal-opportunity animal lover! I can give meds too, pills or liquid orally, or apply ointments and change dressings. I also help make your home look "lived in" by taking in your newspapers and mail, turning lights on and off, and even taking out your garbage cans on trash day. I can water plants, do light house-keeping, etc. I bring all my own food and supplies (even bedding and towels), I don't drink or smoke, and I always leave your place cleaner than when I arrived.
