I’ll start with the positives: she kept my dogs alive, gave one his daily meds, and came to meet them and discuss their needs before I left. Then the negative- I booked Haley to house sit while I was away so that my dogs would have plenty of attention and a substitute person. She informed me that she lived close enough (20 min away) to just come by a couple times a day, and I said ok with the understanding that my dogs’ care would not be sacrificed, emphasizing that attention was an important part of what I booked. My dogs eat and walk around 7am and 5pm daily- before and after my regular work hours. Haley had presented herself as a virtual grad student with flexibility but as it turned out works and has to fit pet care in around her often evening hours. We have an electronic keypad on the door so could tell when she came and left. She never got to my dogs before 9am and their breakfast visit was 4-5 minutes, never with their usual walk. Their dinner visit happened as early as 2:30pm and as late as 11pm. One day she left them from about 3pm until 9am the next morning. I booked and paid an adult professional because I have high standard for my dogs’ care. Her approach might work for a cat that just needs a bowl filled, but I could have gotten more for less from a neighborhood teenager. I don’t like writing bad reviews, but want the best for others’ pets, too.

I have a zoo in my house. And I mean a ZOO. I have a parakeet, 2 cats, a lizard, a guinea pig, and 3 dogs. So, not an easy task as you can assume. When my wife got the call that her mom was in the hospital, we had to pack up ourselves and the kids in a rush and head to her bedside and luckily, Haley was the saving grace we desperately needed! She was attentive, responsible, and gave us daily updates. We think our animals like her more than us now:) If you need a pet sitter, Haley is your girl!
