Bark Smart, Book with Haley

Pet care experience

UPDATE: I now have a four month old male Husky! Hey! I'm a twenty-five year old with an affinity for furry creatures. I've long felt that animals make up a missing piece that had to have somehow fallen out of me, because we go together seamlessly. I have been taking care of animals on and off since I was thirteen, dogs primarily. That includes pet-sitting, dog-walking, you name it. I put pets before myself. I do volunteer work every week up at my local adoption center, which includes cleaning crates, cleaning the place itself, spending time with the resident animals, and helping dogs and cats find homes. I absolutely love it there, the lead volunteers are like a second family to me. I'm also soon to be volunteering at a big cat sanctuary near me, a few times a month. The more time I can spend around animals, the better. They enrich my life and my love for them is endless. ***PLEASE READ BELOW, ALSO!*** If you book with me, I will do my very best to ensure your pet gets the care they need. I don't cut corners. Your dog needs a walk? I will walk that dog for the full time requested, and bring water for them to drink when they need a break. Dog doesn't walk perfectly on a leash? No problemo, my friend. I've walked some pretty crazy dogs up at the adoption center, and we have to try and train them, and make good examples out of them for the general public, in order for them to stand a better chance at finding homes. It's far from a new rodeo for me. When it comes to any of my services, I do draw the line at any dog over seventy pounds, which is my peak limit. I will not keep a dog of this weight or more in my home, but I will come and *walk* your dog if they are seventy pounds or *lower*. All around, I prefer larger dogs to be better behaved as they can potentially be a handful to manage otherwise. If your pooch is both large and very, very hard to handle, please do not ask for my services. If staying overnight or being dropped off for a few hours during the day, your pup will be fed, given water, played with, and walked. Please bring the necessary amount and type of food your dog will need for their stay, as well as their leash, and one of their favorite toys. I have bowls to feed them with, but you're welcome to bring your own. I live right on Lake Ray Hubbard, so my walk route around home includes a trip down to the long stretch of field overlooking the bay. I do not walk dogs very close to the water, however. If you are against me walking your dog near the lake, please say so, and I will take them on a different route. Otherwise, your pup will enjoy a nice walk (or run, depending on their health and how much energy they've got) by the bay, with plenty of wind to help cool them down from the Texas heat. You'll get your money's worth if you book with me. So what are you waiting for? Bark Smart! (:
