I have grown up with a variety of cats and dogs during my life, and these pets are an essential part of the family! I am so excited to get to know more pets and meet their needs with love and attention. I understand the necessity of learning about each pet in order to ensure their health and safety. I value spending time outdoors with the pets, whether on long walks, playing with other pets, or playing at a dog park. I enjoy working with animals as they learn to obey commands, and I utilize positive behavior reinforcement to help pets retain these skills. I believe that by repetitively rewarding good or correct behaviors, pets learn new skills in a positive way. Growing up, I had a beagle-jack russell mixed dog named Annie. She enjoyed long walks and belly rubs! We now have a pit bull-bull terrier mixed dog named Clementine. She is full of energy and loves long walks and rolling in the grass. Her shadow is our puppy Roxy, a beagle-catahoula mixed dog. She loves hanging out with all of us and being scratched! While in high school, I also volunteered at 4 Paws 4 Ability. At this organization, I worked with puppies that were being trained to be service dogs for a variety of children. I loved working with the puppies and older dogs as they were being trained. I look forward to spending time getting to know new pets!
